I don't use the app to list items, so I haven't tried it.
I've heard a few that's tried it, like it, then there are some that don't.

You made me giggle because I likely would have thought the name was AL too. It is actually A as in Apple and I as in internet. 😍
AI = Artificial Intelligence.

Yes I have used it and I love it. I just always read and sometimes I take a few things out. It saves me time

I decided to try out the AI description tool (on a laptop not the app), just to see what it would come up with, and it just sat there with the page gray. Nothing ever populated the description box. Took me a bit to get it to stop doing nothing and get back to a functional listing page, and I can't remember what exactly that I did, but eventually it went back to normal and I typed out my own description, as usual.
I give it a 0/10 because it did nothing productive.

Today just to have a look see as to what it was all about, I tried using AI for the description on a listing draft that I was doing.
Might be OK for a brand-new item, but for my used item, it is an unmitigated sales hype waste of time.
About as useful as those listings that leave the description blank.
Will use my own descriptions.

AI listings are a bad writer's idea of good writing. All puffery and piffle.

If you sell unique, one-of-a-kind items, I don't recmmend AL. Today, AL not only completely missed the point of my description but also inserted items that were NOT in the listing. Ergo, my photos did not match the item description. It figures...right as I was going to change back to my orginial comments, I got a buyer. Messaged buyer to make sure he undersood what he would be receiving. This "could have been" bad...Buyer not receiving what he "read," or if item was still active, people scratching their heads wondering why my photos had nothing to do with what I "said" I was selling. On a scale of 1-10, AL is a bit fat zero!

I've used it a handful of time's and it shows some promise. That said it should inject the output into the TextBox at the point the cursor is located. I use a responsive template and have had to cut and paste.
Listing overall IMHO has issue's. IMHO eBay should either force sellers into a static template aka: No abilities of HTML usage or if continuing to allow direct access to HTML the ability to dynamically alter templating. Thus if I want change something in the base template being used have the ability to commit said changes altering all listing or perhaps tagged listings.
