New Filters For Automated Promoted Listings Rules

Happened to see this banner in Seller Hub - eBay has added filters for Brand and Condition for creating rules for automated Promoted Listings campaigns.

These new filters definitely help, but it would also be nice if they had an "exclusion" list function like we have for markdown sale rules for those one off situations where you don't want an item to be included in an automated campaign.

I saw that, but didn't click through to look at it. The few times I tried the automated rules they didn't work. Half my listings were never added to promoted listings. I gave up on it and went back to the manual process.

Interesting @wastingtime101 , if you don't mind sharing, were you trying to set up rules based on price, category or both?

When I've played with it in the past, it always "worked" in the sense that the rules were followed and all appropriate listings were automatically added to the correct campaigns.  The biggest issue I saw was the "all or nothing" aspect with no easy way to handle situations where you might have a one off item that for whatever reason you wouldn't want assigned to the automated campaign it would qualify for based on the rules.

I guess based on category? I'd have to go look at the settings to see if that's correct.

It was all-inclusive with no restrictions, meant to promote every single listing in my store at the same fixed rate. Even after waiting 24-48 hours, half the listings weren't promoted so I gave up. I can't remember how many times I tried - I think twice on my account and once on my GF's account.
