New Ebay Messaging Format is a MESS

Typical Ebay......you have something that works and an unnecessary change is made resulting in something that is confusing and inefficient for both the seller and buyer. When are you going to learn!!

@capesports

There are a half dozen thread currently going on in the Forum on this subject.  You likely should search them out if you'd like to see some of the issues others are reporting.

Also remember to use the feedback button in the Messages so you can share your observations respectfully to the Ebay team.  They do listen.

Yes, I've read many of the threads on this topic which pretty much may be summarized by

a quote from about 50 years ago which is most appropriate......."If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

It's the website employees trying to keep their jobs. Lol. I'm sure they convince management why things need to be changed.

I struggle to remember when an ebay improvement actually improved something.

Then another thread wasn't necessary, you could have just replied on any number of the other threads on the same subject.

While none of the sellers that had been asking for the message system to thread a conversation are posting, there use to be a lot of sellers asking for this ability.  Not sure where they went or if they changed their minds, but it use to be something that was asked for.  The balance of the changes, I've not heard of sellers asking for, but I guess some certainly could have.  Or maybe no one did and Ebay just threw them in.

Doubtful that has anything to do with it.  The team would have gotten instructions from their manager or even higher up to create this new structure.

Blanket statements are rarely correct.  This one is not any different.  While we may object to certain changes made and I think often with good reason, there are other changes that help sellers.

At the bottom of it there was a link to give feedback. Do it there!

Re: New Ebay Messaging Format is a MESS

I guess, as typical- people only talk bad about something 9 out of 10 times and seldom do the 'it's great' people start a thread.

But, I'm one of the 'It's FANTASTIC! as I would always have to 'search through many previous 'incoming' emails to find what me and a potential customer were discussing back and forth, then find my 'latest' 'SENT' to that person, could take 10 minutes.

Now, in 2 seconds, I can see ALL communications back and forth.

There is nothing 'bad' about that.

How can an AI bot listen? I pretty sure "they" don't listen at all. They just give you that illusion and move on with unnecessary changes.

You are ASSUMING that is all there is and it isn't true.  If you are having problems reaching a real person at Ebay, ask, I can give you ways to connect.
