Negative feedback left in retaliation

I had a buyer send an insulting message because I didn't accept their low offer. I proceeded to block them. They then used a different account to buy the item and leave negative feedback. They also sent me this: ``you must be just released for a ment institute. who adds a make offer to never accept an offer then blocks you ? I hope you get the 19 freeze.'' I had also offered them a full refund and their response was ``i opened all of them. ill just leave a review of unsatisfactory. I dont do returns.''.  I asked Ebay to reverse the feedback. Their reply: We’ve looked carefully at this feedback and see that it doesn’t qualify for removal. This was my first negative out of over 10,000 transactions so kinda gets me upset. So they can threaten me, leave a retaliatory feedback, break the rules and I'm the one punished? Thanks Ebay.

If you can prove to ebay that the person you blocked is the same person that created another username and purchased from you then left you a retaliatory  negative feedback, you have a good chance of getting that feedback remove.  Do you?

If those messages were through eBay then definitely raise the issue with evidence of  first and second account.

If I were you, I would take a screenshot of the messages and the order details. Contact ebay again and specifically tell them that the customer is making false allegations and harassing you. You have a reason to have the fb removed. If they are only looking at the fb there might not be a reason to have it removed. But if you refer them to the emails or screenshots you may have I'm sure they will work with you.  That is a really nasty email!!

Good luck!

It would be worth it to keep trying as different CS reps handle cases differently. Most seem to be on auto-response but someone might actually be willing to look deeper into it.

I rarely call them. It's often a waste of time. But my last time (feedback removal for INR which they did receive) the first rep put me on hold and eventually hung up. The next rep I got actually looked at the info and cancelled that neg for me.

Just keep trying. Sorry this happened~

I have first-hand experience that this feedback can be removed... the buyer had 'Malicious Intent' when they bought... an eBay No-No.

Keep a cool head and contact eBay with a message through their facebook page. The reps respond via email messages which are very clear and concise. (The one you received is the first of three.)

Reply to the message, make your case and insist that all of the messages are reviewed by someone. (Here's where you'll get your second denial, but from a second Rep.)

Reply to that  message, and request that it be escalated to a decision-maker who has the authority to review the evidence and reconsider the 'Malicious Intent' buying rules. (This last reply will assure your success, I'll bet.)

Within an hour, you should get an email from a third Rep (This one generates immediate action.), explaining how much your diligence has paid off, you're concern has been validated and the feedback would be removed immediately.

It's really very quick and painless. I can't imagine a better way to spend a couple of hours tonight. Good luck.

Buyers are not allowed to circumvent your buyer block list by using
another account to buy from you.

You will find this at the bottom of the page.
You can use the links there to report them.

Ah ah ah... try again for removal. Make them read the part about how they made an offer and got blocked and buy it with a different account. Someone did that to me (and I caught it after he paid, but before I shipped). He left the worst feedback that would destroy my reputation selling here. I told ebay that he was blocked and shouldn't have been able to buy, since he went ahead and bought with a different account he's breaking policy. People who break policy to be able to buy don't get to leave feedback. I got it removed, one by one, as this idiot left me a new one every day for a week. I made like 6 phone calls to ebay, and hour each time.

The message the numbskull sent the OP indicated that he made an offer and was blocked, and then he obviously bought the item on a different account. Even if the name isn't the same on the new account (and it wasn't in my case, the guy changed his name, but not his address), they can still link accounts.

ebay generally doesn't revise neg. feedback on the first attempt, but they often do in appeal.  I have good luck calling them.

Ask the seller to remove feedback, because ebay is going to want to see that first.

Finally got it removed after 3 tries. I had to paste the buyers threatening messages before the rep agreed to remove it.

Good for you!  Sad that it takes multiple tries to get aligned with the correct CSR, but glad you did!!

Your only hope of winning on here is doing the connect-the-dots homework for the CSR.

Great news.  Congrats.
