Today I got a negative feedback. I never received any complaints from the buyer. Every single buyer who has had an issue with anything I sell, I have resolved the issue.
Just as I was about to email the buyer to ask what the issue was, I decided to check his feedback left for others. This account is less than two months old. Every single feedback he has left, four in total was a negative with the same complaint "No good". Even for the sellers who left him glowing feedback, the same negative.
I pointed this out to eBay and requested the feedback be removed. Two minutes after I sent the request, I got an email back saying it would not be removed. I assumed this was a bot making the decision. Should I call eBay or is that it? It is clear we have a malicious buyer here on the rampage.
Funny thing using Google Maps, he lives in a very expensive neighborhood. I don't know if it is a seller who sells what I sell damaging my feedback, or just an angry buyer seeking revenge. Ebay promised it would protect us sellers from malicious feedback. It is failing miserably.

O-M-G
We’ve answered you, EBay has answered you.
No one cares about feedback anymore, it doesn’t figure into your metrics anymore, it stings but you’ll live. Breathe.

Be sure to block them from buying from you again.

I have been here long enough not to be bothered about the negative feedback. I am bothered by what seems like a campaign by the buyer to just leave negative feedback for every purchase. Good or bad. I know he is not upset with what I sent him because I sent him an almost like new item which several people have left positive feedback about its condition. It is possibly he did not know how to use the item. I will call eBay tomorrow. If they refuse to remove it, I will leave a response. No, it does not bother me at all. The rest of my feedback speaks for itself.

Right now I agree that it is opinion. Maybe a few dozen more of the same and eBay may take note, but as others have commented already, they have seen worse which pretty much means it will likely not be removed. I plan to call eBay tomorrow and then drop it. I will just leave a polite reply and move on.

eBay won't remove it. Your idea of a reasoned response (don't bother talking to this 'no good' neg leaver, you want to assure your future customers of your good business practices) is a good one. Remember - you get everybody's village idiots on here, not just your own
This is one of a number of reasons why feedback doesn't weigh into our metrics. Yes, it stings, but it'll fall off the page.

They don't do much I know, but if enough report they can lose their MBG priviledges. I think this may be what happened to your buyer - perhaps unable to claim because of abusing the system so he is letting fly with the neg's.
Hope you have a great holiday season, and remember it is only a few numpty buyer's - most are okay.

Without knowing the particulars, it is difficult to measure the impact of such a response in feedback. Hard to determine if it is damaging or not. One may not even consider it “malicious feedback” since the comment has no detail.

Now you’re electing yourself some sort of EBay morality police.
YOU say your item was great, how do WE know.
I’ve gotten so many shoddily packaged and SNAD items in the last 9 months or so it’s like the old Wild West days of early EBay when bad sellers ran free and buyers had no protection.
Perhaps your buyer is not picky, perhaps he’s fed up.
No one elected you to save the site from his rampage of negs.

You can use feedback revision option.
Also you can contact eBay and explain the issue. Sellers have 5 feedback revisions a year.

"The buyer can simply be a super picky and very mean buyer that should probably not buy online."
Cue up Alan Parsons..."I wouldn't want to be like you."

"they would only give a positive feedback if the seller provided additional free items, service, or speed that wasn’t advertised in the listing. Anything else, he would give a neutral or negative. Of course that’s a totally unpopular stance… something I’m sure eBay would not suggest any buyer do. But eBay can’t prohibit that because it isn’t against policy."
That's not true...that is asking for more than is in the listing...not allowed at all.

Since I see no FB for you at all, was this FB left for you on another ID?
Think about this for awhile and then perhaps return and leave a calm, reasonable reply: If the buyer had notified me of a problem, I would have gladly reached out to him in an effort to resolve the issue.

Tonight I got an email telling me they will remove the negative. I hope the others who got negatives from this buyer also appeal.
