Today I got a negative feedback. I never received any complaints from the buyer. Every single buyer who has had an issue with anything I sell, I have resolved the issue.
Just as I was about to email the buyer to ask what the issue was, I decided to check his feedback left for others. This account is less than two months old. Every single feedback he has left, four in total was a negative with the same complaint "No good". Even for the sellers who left him glowing feedback, the same negative.
I pointed this out to eBay and requested the feedback be removed. Two minutes after I sent the request, I got an email back saying it would not be removed. I assumed this was a bot making the decision. Should I call eBay or is that it? It is clear we have a malicious buyer here on the rampage.
Funny thing using Google Maps, he lives in a very expensive neighborhood. I don't know if it is a seller who sells what I sell damaging my feedback, or just an angry buyer seeking revenge. Ebay promised it would protect us sellers from malicious feedback. It is failing miserably.

With seeing the item and the feedback no one can help you. Most likely Ebay will not remove the feedback. It is the buyer's opinion. Buyers do not have to contact you. A refund does not always mean a happy customer.

But the buyer has left all negative feedback for every single feedback he has left; "No good". I am not going to post his name here or give any other clue to who he is. All eBay has to look at his "left feedback" and see a sea of red and say this is not right.
Does that not mean anything to eBay? Does that mean I too can for the fun of it leave negative feedback for every purchase?

Seems like you got a mean buyer leaving feedback. I agree with you. Hard to believe every item this buyer purchased was - Not good. Not sure if it means anything to eBay and after reading your post I assume, if you were as mean as this buyer, you could leave negative feedback for any and every purchase. I do hope the feedback you got will be removed. Best of luck.

I was in the same predicament. Buyer had left hundreds of negatives(private feedback of course) and called ebay and they said that is their opinion and did not remove it.

Essentially yes.

The frequency of negatives a buyer leaves is not used for eBay to determine if they are being abusive… not without more info.
The buyer can simply be a super picky and very mean buyer that should probably not buy online. Simply being a buyer like that is not a violation in ebays eyes

Two months ago, I received a demand from a buyer that I immediately send him the missing disc of a trilogy. As I remembered, there were two movies on one disc and one on another, but I responded with an apology for my absent mindedness and offered a refund. He refused and criticized me for my shabby business practices. I then accessed his account and learned approx. 25% of his purchases included negative feedback to sellers. I ignored any additional contact and he has not bothered me.

I have a feeling based on the responses and my own gut feeling, eBay is not going to remove it. I am now just making sure if I do leave a response, I leave something measured without getting personal. That is pretty much all I can do now.

The account was created in late October. What if by next March he has twenty negative feedback, no positives? Does that not make eBay say "wait a minutes, this is not right"? Or can the buyer leave a hundred negatives and eBay will be still okay with it?
If he has a problem with the item and it is not what he is looking for, the least he could do was point out the issue to me and the other sellers.

His account was created on Oct-09-21. Total feedback he has gotten; 4. Positive feedback from sellers who gave him glowing feedback.
All feedback he has left in the past month; 4 negatives.
4 "no good". Nothing else as to why no good.

If there was nothing else weird about the buyer and their buying practices? I’d think eBay would allow it. Because there’s nothing else to suggest anything malicious… simply a super nit picky mean petty buyer. It’s not to say you can’t try to report the buyer. Maybe if the buyer gets enough reports eBay would take a closer look… but not just alone from their feedbacks left. I remember talk about a buyer here who became very unpopular because they said they would only give a positive feedback if the seller provided additional free items, service, or speed that wasn’t advertised in the listing. Anything else, he would give a neutral or negative. Of course that’s a totally unpopular stance… something I’m sure eBay would not suggest any buyer do. But eBay can’t prohibit that because it isn’t against policy.

Yes, I’m sure all sellers would agree that buyers should do this. Even eBay suggests buyers do this… but it isn’t a requirement. So eBay can’t penalize buyers for not following something that isn’t policy.

FWIW I've seen FAR worse - buyers with hundreds of negs left. Ebay calls these "opinions" because (we know, it's sad) ebay wants the buyers buying, full stop.

So…. he’s grumpy and picky. Move on.
