Today, a buyer requested a return because a component of the item they received was damaged in transit. My account now has a balance of -$315. I do not have the personal funds available to cover it, so the remaining alternative is that the amount of money I receive from any sale I make goes towards clearing the negative balance. I contacted Ebay customer service to ask if this meant I would have to fulfill orders without ever getting paid for them. Their explanation was that, once you clear the negative balance, you apparently are given the amount of money you were paid for the orders you fulfilled. I'm struggling to follow the logic here, so if anyone with any experience with this could help explain the process to me, I'd be grateful.

Just a quick update on our friend from the other day. His new user ID has been updated, see his OP above with the new ID.
He's picked up a neutral feedback, not because he wouldn't ship, but because he shipped a book with a sticker on it and failed to disclose that small detail about the sticker.
And....all of his listings are gone.
I wonder if he took them down, or if ebay did?

You could attach a credit card to your Managed Payments account.
I've had a few payments for my Store be taken on a Wednesday morning, and they just show up on my credit card.

When you search his completed listings, not sold listings, just completed, it is showing that the OP ended all his listings, all at once at 5:07 this afternoon.

There have been some misunderstandings here of that, with people going off in a huff thinking they were being called names.
Yup, I've gotten a few slaps for "community violations" and have had to tell the mods that it's my signature and explain the meaning of my siggy.

When you get the item returned you have a day or 2 to issue the refund. So, sell the item and pay off your negative balance.

I just took a peek at your feedback. Never seen a page like that before.
For your own financial good -- and for the good of eBay buyers -- maybe you should call it a day?
