Hi,
Hopefully someone can help I have tried live support as well but no use.
I sold an item it is an AV Amplifier so quite a large bulky and heavy item. This was mentioned in the listing. I sent the item out postage wasn't cheap at £20 due to its weight and value. It arrived at the buyers requested address which was a shop. Who then rejected the item due to its size saying it couldn't be stored. Item was then returned to me.
I said to the buyer it has been sent back as it was rejected at the destination. Now the buyer wants the item still but I personally don't feel I should have to pay postage again because I feel this is their mistake. But there is no option available to me to invoice them for more postage and they have opened a case against me. I have provided screenshot and pictures of the rejected item and what the tracking info says etc.
Do I just have to bite the bullet here or can I ask ebay to step in an help or is there another option?

What kind of shop refused package? To my knowledge your responsibility ends when delivered to buyers registered address with eBay. Yes a refusal or failure to pickup is considered delivered by eBay (at least here in the states). Did he open an item not received case? If so uploading tracking showing refusal should win the case.

You might want to ask your question on your registered site, eBay.com.uk.
However, if your buyer has now decided he wants the item, you will have to decide whether you want to trust him again. And, yes, he should certainly pay shipping again.
Exactly what kind of case have they opened against you?

I don't know Ebay's rules in the UK but in the US if an item is refused and returned then you can refund less any costs including shipping charges. I would just wait for the item to come back, refund the buyer less the shipping, and then relist. Of course Ebay may still unilaterally force you to refund in full as they have a tendency to side with a buyer regardless of circumstances.
