Hi, I know there is a way to add where my item is in my inventory. A bin or shelf number. Can someone please help with locating where that goes. I was thinking in SKU section but not sure.
Thanks in advance!

SKU aka Custom Label is the correct location for this type of information (inventory code etc.).
It will only be visible to you in the Seller Hub / Active Listings. If the SKU column is not visible use the "customize" option to enable display of the SKU column.

Personally, I use the end of the title.
"GMC Remote Key Fob Four Button C120"
or
"Ford Oval Blue Emblem Badge Logo 340"
I did it that way a hundred years ago when I was first on eBay.
It was called ePond back then. Smaller.

I add "note" and also write inventory# on my description page. To note go to LISTING, ACTIVE (click down arrow and ADD NOTE).

I believe "Custom Label (SKU)" is the best way to go.
The seller has this 50-character field to use as you please. It is not visible to buyers. The seller can see it in various locations including manage active listings and order detail.
For multiple information put your location first so you can sort on location. For example:
Custom Label (SKU) = Box012 2#shp 1#5oz 10"x5"x4" ITM142KM
Sort your active listings in eBay by SKU so you can audit your items (by location order). Does the contents of Box012 match what is listed for Box012 on eBay? 🙄

I would recommend the Custom SKU field.

Just about anywhere in item specifics will work.
I enter my stock number and shelf location at the top of the description. Usually when shipping, I just open the listing, see what it is, and where it is. And go get it.
But lately....
I have been entering the stock number in a part number field in Item Specifics.
I have also been entering the shelf location in another part number field in Item Specifics.
Now, I can search either of those numbers from an eBay search box and see all listings, and all sold listings

It looks like everybody has their own way of doing it.
You can add a custom item specific and call it "Stock Location" or whatever you want.

I use the Note section to add that information and it shows up right under each listing.

We do the same - has the date bought and where, cost and original listing price and date. Also date[s] price lowered.

I would worry that would confuse customers. Thinking its a part number etc.

I just put my inventory number inside the "Item description from the seller" area, right below the "Item specifics" block -- mine show up as a "Group" series of numbers.
But you can put them anywhere in your listing that is convenient for you.

Early this year I sold a book kinda expensive. Have thousands of books here in my apartment and could not locate book + went crazy. I put an ad into our apartment building inner newspaper email asking for help locating this book. 2 tenants volunteered to help me look for it. One man came equipped with a big flashlight and systematically looked high + low on the ladder, etc. after 1 hour he finished with out finding the book. I didn’t feel in the mood for doing it again all over with the second volunteer but she came + we did it all over again.
Amazing she found the book.
Now it’s Christmas and I’d like to give each of them a nice little gift for being so wonderful in helping me so much!
Wonder what is appropriate in thanking such
nice giving people?
P.S. Each of them were complete strangers I never saw before in my life. One lives on the other side and the woman has a newborn and just moved in!
