Media query

Hi everyone,

I'm a reporter with an unusual request for a story.  I'm writing about the last remaining company in the U.S. still making an old-time product, vanishing from America's landscape.  For example, there's a manufacturer in Minnesota that is the only one still making barber poles.  Likewise, there's only one company still making audiotape. And there's a Kentucky company that is the last one cranking out washboards.  I need just one more...and to be clear, I'm not talking about "ye olde" replicas.   Can you help?

Thanks,

Bonnie Rubin

Check this site:

https://www.lehmans.com/

Some of the stuff they deal with are reproductions but quite a bit are made by people or companies that have been making these products for decades and decades/

They sell Aladdin Lamps (http://aladdinlamps.com/history/), while a few of their parts are made overseas I think the majority, and all assembly are still done in the USA.

Thanks so much...what an interesting website, too!

I'm really new to Ebay and I didn't know where to post this query where it would get the most exposure.  Is this the best forum?  Any help is most appreciated!

Hi Lynn,
Interesting -- but, unfortunately, not on point. It isn't about the oldest companies...it's about a product that has dwindled down to such little demand (like washboards) that there's only one manufacturer left. So, while Caswell-Massey may be the oldest lotion maker in the U.S., there are still lots of companies that make lotion. At first, I thought of VCRs, but the last VCR rolled off the assembly line a couple years ago.
But I do appreciate your help! Bonnie
