Market Segmentation

Hi!

I hope you're all doing well. I have hunted a product that has different variations according to design. Kindly let me know how can we get an idea about most selling variations? Will, we focus on sold items data appearing on other listings or we can do it through any other method? Special thanks for your guidance in advance.

Re: Market Segmentation

Because you are a new seller your account will be restricted (you will only be allowed to list a couple of items at small prices).   After you sell some items and prove you are a good seller then you can request EBAY to raise your selling limit.

Good luck to you!

Re: Market Segmentation

I see no sales on your id...........  I strongly suggest you sell some simple things in order to learn about selling.......before getting into more complicated stuff..........

The best way (now) to get information of previous history of products on eBay is to use Terapeak which can be found on the Research Tab of the Seller Hub.

Looking at Completed/Sold in regular search no longer provides quality data because only single quantity listings reliably show up there now when they sell and end. Even if they did, Terapeak goes back one year while Completed/Sold search results only go back 90 days.

Depending on how specific you want the data to be it may be impossible to find what you are looking for.

For example, a T-Shirt listing in 6 sizes and 10 colors (60 possible variations), you will never be able to determine the most popular size/color combinations by looking at the data eBay makes available.

Re: Market Segmentation

Your question isn't terribly specific...what is the item (product) and what are the variations you are looking for? More info would really be helpful.

What kind of items are they?

is it those fake jackets others are trying to sell from Pakistan?

Have a great day.
