How can I add a tracking number to an item that was shipped with another item to same buyer (combined shipping) I was able to mark the first item "shipped" and add the tracking number but when I went to the second one it said. "This tracking number is already associated with another active shipment. "

Did you print the shipping label using ebay or Paypal? If so, you had the chance to COMBINE the purchases into one package, and that would then upload the tracking number for both items.

If you did not combine using the above method, I don't believe ebay allows you to upload the same tracking number into another listing.

I haven’t had a problem adding the tracking number to a second item. Did the buyer use the identical eBay ID for both transactions? If not, you won’t be able to add it. You can try adding it in PayPal and hope that it shows up on eBay.

I had the same issue recently. I'm not sure of the circumstances that caused it but I do know when both items were received, it was recorded on both of them.
