Hey Everyone,
The diecast market is soooooo saturated it's pretty much not profitable for any one seller.
I am switching to general hard goods, but still going to be selling SOME diecast as part of that change.
I am also going to be changing my ID to something not pertaining to diecast.......giving up my "Hotwheelindeals" to something more to do with selling hardgoods.
I have not been selling full time for quite a while now, but am forced to give it another go.
Please help me rename the seller formerly known as "Hotwheelindeals".
Some info that might help.......
I live in Indiana (Hoosier), I am 56 yrs. young (1966), an Army veteran, and have been on this platform for 16+ years, and prefer a name that is somewhat querky, makes people think, or makes sense only to me......in other words, it needs some kind of twang to it.
I'll know it when I see it......and GO !

Don't change your name. Just change your photo and store description to include the new scope you plan to tackle. Over the years, as more sellers have expanded, it has become much more common to see sellers selling items and categories not implied by their name. In our experience, it actually can help you as well. If a buyer goes to your store via one of the newer items you are selling, they may see the name and then decide to browse your store out of curiosity. You never know what you may sell via that dynamic. Also, it may make some buyers feel that you have broadened your selling experience and customer base and result in more buyer trust. Whenever we come across an item and the store id/user id is something completely unrelated, we always go to the sellers store and look at the other items listed out of curiosity and wondering how they came up with their store name. If diecast is so saturated, you may reach more eyes from the new items you plan to sell and those buyers looking directly at your store to see what else you have.

Let's see some plays on "HoosierDaddy", HoosierGrandpa" , "HoosierSeller", something along those lines.....

With the holidays coming up I would not change the name until January 1st. November-December are usually biggest selling months for stores. I would think also sellers on eBay. I am currently posting Christmas stuff.
I sell stamps...Christmas theme is big for me. Toys for kids should sell rather good this season since parents have to return to work in buildings after 2+ years.

You make a strong point......I may put this on the back burner until after I get the listings up and make the change.
Thanks everyone for your input, feel free to PM suggestions. You never know, one might grab me !
