Major Outage!

Buyers unable to make purchases. Numerous error messages.

 

ZERO information from eBay with no change on system status board.

Remember the old days back when if there was a site wide outage they offered compensation?

 

Then we had a bad one and they changed the TOS.

From Seller Source Book. I have been in contact with them because my auctions did not launch. Ebay is NOT giving us the true info. What else was breached????

 

On Sunday afternoon, eBay's site became under attack by hackers with a coordinated DDOS attack that affected eBay's servers. As third-party providers connected to their API, our program was also affected.

I'm still getting error messages trying to log in on Chrome.

There are claims of an attack but nothing has been confirmed and I wouldn't necessarily expect eBay to confirm if that ends up being the case.  I do wish there was some communication and especially the system status page should reflect the issues, but I wouldn't take that information as confirmed.

I betcha eBay is doing everything they can to keep the lid on this with Q1 reports due out on Wednesday.

Well I can't send out shipments if I can't log in.

 

Tbh I first noticed the log in issues on Chrome on Saturday late afternoon going into the evening.

We do have an active ALERT regarding this now:

"Alert 16622 Customers and teammates are unable to access eBay site getting an error message as "An error occurred while processing your request"

 

They are working to get this resolved ASAP!

On the other hand,    I'm having very few issues this AM (So far)  and have managed

to pick and pack nearly 40 orders and print the postage.

 

Apparently the glitch is not the same for all of us.

 

I know the outage has cost me money.    But the buyers can't even tell the sellers

if there's a problem with buying or bidding if they can't log into the site.

Why do we always have to request this kind of information?  Could not someone have just posted this kind of thing without dozens of threads over the last 24+ hours wondering what's going on?
