So if we start an auction for Lysol Wipes at $0.99 will my listing get taken down? 1 listing already has, and I still have 13 containers of this stuff to sell. I'm sure eBay doesn't want 1 person hoarding a bunch of these. People need these wipes, and not all people have access to them, so I'm asking if I could put the wipes up for auction starting at $0.99.

Disinfecting wipes are currently a banned item. You are risking your account if you keep listing them- auction or not.
How about donating them to your local community or give them to friends/family/neighbors? If you can't afford to give them away then you'll have to either wait for the ban to be lifted or find another means of selling them.

They are restricted from being sold on Ebay for any price.

what everyone else said- and DON'T RELIST as you stated one was already taken down. You could get permanently banned from selling.

I wish i knew you cuz i sure could use some. But im not being taken advantage of what they are selling them for on here. And why us ebay still allowing them to sell them for hundred of dollars and almost a 100 bucks for just 1 container this isnt right what so ever. Why are they saying that it isnt allowed but still happening. And why would ppl take advantage of ppl in tge community during these dangerous days we are living in. Im not even saying u are cuz you had a very good question and sure wish i knew ya cuz id be on it lol.

I believe you need to be an authorized or vetted seller in order to sell items of the pandemic.

You could list them for a penny with free shipping and it would be against policy. Ebay banned the sale of those, period, regardless of price.
Too many sellers were price gouging and disregarded the announcement about keeping reasonable prices, so because of those sellers, now they are totally banned. If there are ones listed, they will eventually be found. They are only allowed to be sold by authorized sellers who were already selling them pre Covid-19.

There is no way to know if the items sold(that is, no way to know whether there actually was payment made to the seller), or if the listing was cancelled by eBay...
eBay has already stated:
"we are proactively selecting a limited number of sellers to provide certain types of inventory and there is not currently an application process for becoming approved to sell these items."
Sellers may feel this is unfair measures but so be it, eBay has made their decision and like it or not, sellers have to abide by that decision. This is eBay's site, eBay's rules & policies.
It's time for sellers to move on and focus on listing & selling items that are have no connection to a world health crisis.

So how is this happening?
05-11-2020 04:35 PM
Really? If theyve taken one down dont you think itll happen again?
05-11-2020 05:43 PM
No, eBay wants people who can't get these to have no way of getting them at all and get sick and die so they have good PR.
