So the problem i’m having is that I sold a nvidia 2060 gpu and listed it for only local pickup in California, however a buyer from Alabama bought it. The buyer requested to cancel, however when i went to cancel I had to pay $20 if i wanted to refund it. What happens now? I can’t ship it because then id need the qr code or number to confirm that the buyer received it. I don’t want to cancel because i don’t want to pay the 20$. What do I do here, it seems like whatever i do i’m going to be at a loss.

Please show us a screenshot of where it is telling you to pay $20 to refund. This should not be the case.

I don’t know how to upload photos, but now it’s not letting me cancel and it says “! Cancellation exists”

i do believe that it might be because i accidentally pressed advertise, but i don’t want to cancel anyway. if i don’t take action will ebay refund the buyer?

What you actually needed to do was to cancel, citing either "buyer requested" or "problem with buyer's address". What reason did you use?

Yes, if you do not cancel eBay will refund the buyer from your money.
Can you show us the screen shot where eBay says you will have to pay $20 to cancel?

How long ago did you make this sale? And can you show us the screen where you are charged $20?

If you or your buyer either offered or referenced any contact info then you are responsible for final value fees even if the item did not sell.
Also since you are selling a item that is easy to ship many buyers will not notice that the item is local pickup only.
I would suggest that if you want to do local pickup there are better options available and if you want to sell it on ebay then offer shipping.
"Sellers are also responsible for Final Value Fees if they offer or reference their contact information, or ask for a buyer's contact information, in the context of buying for selling outside of eBay, even if the item does not sell on eBay."

You should cancel the transaction citing problem with buyers address. You are never charged to refund. You will be credited any seller fees.

You are never charged to refund but ebay may not refund final value fees in all cases

You can cancel the order as a problem with the buyers address.
Since you're a new seller, those funds will be held and you have to cover the refund until the buyers payment is released.
