I have been getting most of my orders from one State. I found that to be strange, and began reading posts dating back to 2015. Many people said Ebay will target a seller items only to a few States. What really made me look into this more, is when I do a search on ebay, for any item, all the top results will be from that one State. Has anyone else going through this. Ebay Fees are getting higher, if you sell a $50 item, free shipping cost you $10, the item cost you $10.00. you will profit only $24.00. That is not included other fees. Nearly $30 in fees and shipping you paying out on a $50 item. And for Ebay to target seller products only in a few States is wrong. I made more money selling on another site in three months, than I did the entire year 2021 on ebay.

What would eBay gain by limiting who and when your items are visible?
Car dealers don't hide inventory. They park the cars door handle to door handle and squeeze
every inch out of their available space.
One state? A confined area? Maybe ebay saturated that area with TV ads and you benefited.
A conspiracy under every rock and around every corner.
Adding on to above......^^^^^^^^
If you're offerring "free" shipping - it would only be attractive to those States farthest away vs those closest. Those closest, would not find you the cheapest, if sorted in search, etc.
We rarely sell to Ohio. But we sell all around us over and over. Have often wondered what malady prevents fellow Ohioians from wanting our wares. My guess is most buyers don't limit "their" searches to those 25-50 miles away. They do search by "free" shipping and lowest price.
As the Holidays draw closer, am betting geography will matter as even big retailers are telling customers now to order early - cannot promise delivery or inventory, etc.
Those ships just sitting out there, floating....are not unloading themselves!!

What? Its not a conspiracy its simple business tactic and Method ---Though the Car Business example you provided is like apples to oranges there is enough of a correlation where I can address it, especially given my expertise in the field -- I was a Manager in the Car Business for 20 Years - Car Dealers DO Hide items and they Promote others - Why do you think they put cars on the Showroom Floor? Because they are attempting to sell what they want to sell - Why do you think they advertise certain vehicles in publications? Because they are attempting to sell what they want to sell -- Sales People Hide Cars - when someone comes in and asks to see the one they cant make a good profit, its gone sold so they take them to another. They show you what they want you to see and its simply all about maximizing profit -- If you do not think ebay uses profit maxmizing tactics, I dont know what to tell you...

When I made this post, a day later ebay came after me. I guess ebay don't want people to know how they target certain traffic to certain States. After doing business on ebay for years, I had enough of ebay non-sense. In the last several months I was already doing better business on other sites than ebay. Thus, I moved all my ebay items to those sites. When I did, items that was sitting on ebay for three months, sold in 30 minutes. I had planned on transiting at the end of the year, however, ebay push me to do it now. THANK YOU EBAY FOR GETTING UPSET WITH ME, YOU DID ME A BIG FAVOR. No more Ebay mess.

How? What do you mean?
Looking at your Sold listings it looks like you have sales on most days including multiple sales on some days. If you dont like paying free shipping on your sales then list with Calculated shipping and let your buyers pay the fair postage to their place. Nearby buyers will see a low price and faraway buyers will see a higher one.

if you select lowest price including shipping, items coming from you shipping district are going to come up first. I am in NW Colorado and my shipping is much higher to both coasts, Buyers ing the eastern and western shores are going to see items from sellers in their region long before they see my items, if they use lowest pricing instead of best match as a product sorter.

seems like I am only selling the Oregon, Ca, Washington, anymore it changes a bit, but SO many sales to Oregon?? My top buyers states are Texas,Fl, Or, Ca,Wa,Az, all thousands of miles from me (in Pa) making shipping higher & ebay profits higher because I have to raise shipping costs to make up for the costs.Tired of this manipulation
