Listings Not getting views.

I have had listings up for 3 to 4 months and I only may have only gotten 8 to 15 views on the item. Some listings I only got 5 views. Months ago many sellers said ebay would not show listings, unless sellers pay to promote them. Additional ebay want sellers to jump through many hoops before showing some of your listings.  Lucky I have listing on other sites. I have made more money on FB in the first three months of 2022, than I made selling on ebay for an entire year.   There was a time I only used ebay, (when it was great), now I only make a few hundred dollars a month on ebay.

You are selling non branded cheap stuff. Most people see your listings if scrolling through an Ebay page but they just do not click on your particular listings. An example is the knife and fork set can be purchased at the dollar store and you want $25.

i went ahead and scrolled through your listings and noticed you are selling a bunch of pretty much obsolete items. That is probably why you are not getting much traffic. Like the Linksys router from the early 2000s...

Hi, took a look at your listings to see if anything jumped out. Your overall listing efforts are well done. Some few things may need a but of tweaking, but that’s true for most everyone.

eBay certainly has the capacity to hide listings, to manipulate Search results, to not give good Search placement, etc, we all know. eBay discloses this in the User Agreement and policy pages.

I know there are conspiracy theorists who frequent the forums, saying eBay doesn't show their listings. For the most part, after years of reading such claims, i have seen no compelling evidence of eBay preventing listings from being shown for sellers in good standing.  (Sellers with troubled accounts is a different story.)

As for sellers being made to jump thru hoops in order for listings to be seen, what is being required? I don’t feel there is anything out of the ordinary i’m doing, i promote one or two items only, yet my listings get views and, more importantly, some sales. Things have been slow, but that probably has more to do with my behavior than eBay’s. (Haven't been giving  the kind of attention to my eBaying that is necessary to generate more sales and interest in my listing. I’ll have to be buckling down over the next few weeks.)

So i wouldn't take it all too much to heart. In your case, i see 256 listings. How many do you have up?

There's very much a market for vintage electronics-- I've sold a whole bunch of them here. But it is a fairly limited market, so items like that not getting many views is pretty much exactly what I would expect for that kind of thing.
