In the last few months I’ve found my eBay experience totally different, far more difficult to use.

why can I no longer list a Buy It Now item for a set amount of time?

All fixed price listings can only be listed as good till cancelled which means that they renew automatically once a month.  Ebay changed to that format last spring.

You can. When you list your BIN item you let it ride as long as you want. When you have had enough you can end it as no one stops you from doing so. The only difference is the old way it ended on its' own and now you have to end it.

Why?   Truthfully?  Because it gives ebay another opportunity to make more money (35 cents) off of you.
