I know others have had issues but I’m listing things that should have way more views. EBay told me to delete everything and start from scratch ( I had over 200 items listed). Seemed to improve for a bit but right back to no views on many listings that should have decent traffic.
Wonder if somehow it is because I don’t pay extra to promote?
very frustrating as I used to sell much more and I don’t think it’s the economy. It’s something with EBay . Anyone solved this yet?

You do know that the view counter has changed, no? Now, even though the number is lower, they're all human views.

Views are just that. A sale is more important. Concentrate on what you can do, and not what you can't. Best luck on your selling journey.

It's a catch-22 on Ebay. To get more sales you need more sales. When I was selling around 200-300$ a day(everyday) it was simply because I sold more than most in my category. The more you sell the more you are seen. I went on vacation 4 or 5 months ago and sales completely stopped(i didnt end items or delay shipping), since Ive gotten back it is harder to get back to where i was, and it probably wont happen. Asked an ebay rep and was told to drop my prices and offer free shipping, I did that and sales got REAL bad. Raised my prices up added shipping and started selling well, but Im back to where i was. Ebay's search is a complete joke(sure the choice few will disagree), constant tech issues like ghost listings, signing in every 5 minutes, categories disappearing, cant bulk edit, items missing from store and running auctions that wont even show are always affecting sales. My same items on other venues sell good and fast compared to ebay. Listed a rare item a month ago and it got no views so i ended it and put it up on another site and it sold almost immediately.

You "don't think it's the economy"? Why not?
Gas climbed to over $5/gal. It's now down slightly, but still high priced.
Groceries are up in price anywhere from 5% to at least 20%.
Don't know about you, but when I have to spend more for necessities, I cut back on my discretionary spending. Most of that, for me at least, is done on eBay.
I guess we'd rather blame eBay, so okay if that's your plan.

If it was the economy wouldn't you think my competitors sales would've gone down also? They haven't, I keep track of the big sellers in my category and they are selling more now than before and during covid. It's very easy to blame the economy, but it's not the reason. I've never listed 20 items in a day that don't get views but this is the new norm. Have rare one of a kind items listed that get no views thatb5 months ago would've sold in a day. Most of my sales come from repeat buyers who check my newly listed.

Same issue I’m having. There has been a dramatic shift and EBay can’t or won’t resolve it? I do know they can hide listings and slow traffic to listings because I was told that is one of the ways they “ discipline” sellers who get negative reports. I haven’t had any issues with any buyers but wonder if my listings are somehow hidden.

I also have good feedback. I've never thought negatives hurt much. I see many of my competitors with multiple negs and it doesn't seem to affect them. You need views in order to sell. Ran 207 auction 2 Sundays ago and on Thursday I went thru the categories they were listed in and only 48 showed up. Yes you could search for them by title and they'd come up but not in the category listed in. Ebay can't have an even playing field because they'd lose money hence why certain sellers were and are always shown at the top.
