Listing lag time

Just about everybody, I think. There was a recent thread about it.

The theories are varied and many.

@snoopdad40

New listings can take up to 24 hours to be seen in the searches.

The seller can see them seconds after listing them in their Seller Hub, Active Listings.

Listing lag time

Yes, I’ve noticed the same thing recently. Sometimes when I list items, the page takes several seconds to load or save changes before it moves to the next step. It seems to happen more during peak hours, which makes me think it might be a temporary server slowdown on eBay’s side.

Clearing your browser cache or switching to a different browser sometimes helps, but if the lag is still there, it’s probably just a platform issue that resolves on its own. I usually wait a bit and try again later, and it runs smoothly again.

@or6096

This is not a new thing.  It is in the User Agreement you had to agree to when you opened your account.  It can take up to 24 hours for the site to re-index and your new listing to show up in the searches.  But as I said earlier, you can see it immediately in your Seller Hub / Active Listings.

Now many times it will not take that long to show up, but just know there isn't a problem if it takes a day to show.

It seems the original question is being interpreted in two completely different ways, based on the responses.

Maybe some clarification is needed from @snoopdad40 .

I'm referring to lag while creating a listing.

So you are experiencing a slow system when creating the listing?  That is likely the device you are using and not the Ebay system.

Clear your cache, cookies and internet browser.

Then shut down whatever device you are using and restart it.

If you use a pop up blocker, disable it for now.

You can also try a different browser.

See if any of that helps.

Thanks.  I'm constantly clearing cache and all associated.  This has been going on for quite some time now. I'm going to have to dig deeper to see if anyone in eBay tech will voice some suggestions or answers.

Listing lag time

I've been making new listings all day and the system is

very sluggish,   As mentioned above.

I hit enter and it might be 15-20 minutes till the system

messages me that the listings has started.

And then who knows how long till it's actually visible,

Have you tried using a different device to see if it improves on it?

It can take up to 24 hours for it to appear in the searches.  It will immediately show up in your Seller Hub under Active Listings.

I know that about the 24 hour lag.     The actual making of listings today is very slow and compared to normal

with pages loading slowly and the page flickering and refreshing itself.

Yesterday was normal

Today is not normal

Tomorrow is anybodies guess
