I have been unable to update my listing templates for a few days now. I can access and edit the template, but it will just keep spinning and saying "Saving Template", but never actually saves it. Anyone else having this issue or know anything about it?

It appears this issue is related to templates which were originally created for Categories that were just subject to a massive overhaul. If the Categories used in the original template or the Item Specifics no longer match the Category this can cause the inability to edit/save.
Either start over with templates in those Categories or thoroughly edit those fields to ensure they match the current structure.

This ^^ I had a similar problem in 2019 with some of the category changes. Make sure your categories exactly match or the template will not be able to save (nowhere to go, so to speak). You can just use the browse feature for that.

You're not alone. I cannot edit templates, nor can I create new ones. Does just what you said keeps spinning and never saves. I've even tried categories I don't even sell in to see if I can make it work, and no matter what templates will not save.
I need to make a couple of changes to a template, but now since eBay decided to screw with stuff yet again it'll take me and I'm sure many others at least 50% longer to make those listings since we'll have to manually input data each time that we SHOULD be able to update in the template ONCE.

@leadbelt_emporium Wow - sorry for my outdated advice. Doing it from sell similar worked last week to update a template (not category but just some details), but I went through the template update scenario two different ways and this method no longer works (as I said, it had worked in 2019 category changes, too).
1) Update existing template from the template file.
2) Create new template from existing listing.
Both just gave me the spinning wheel.
Can you guys shed any light on this?? Thank you!

Yeah I just noticed it yesterday myself when I went to make a few changed to one. I am pretty sure it was still working properly last week like you were saying, just updating some info. Now it won't even let you do that, even if you don't change anything other than say a bit in the item description.
I even tried to make a basically blank template, and no luck.

I hope this is temporary - like a lot of people I rely on those templates to save time and trouble.

I agree, I hope so as well!
I've got 3-400 listings to make this week in the same category. I just did a test, and if I have to input the new info into each listing as I do them I'm looking at double the time on each listing. I'm sure there are 100s, if not 1000s of sellers or more in the same boat.

Don't know which listing form you are using.....but I see a comment on the Tools board that you have to use the "new" form to make templates......or rather you can make templates with the new form....... I don't use them so not personal experience...........

@chapeau-noir @leadbelt_emporium @palmetto_unlimited and anyone else experiencing this, there is an open ticket that I'd be happy to add you all too but in the meantime, as @dhbookds noted, everything is working like normal with the new listing flow.
To be added to the report, the tech team is asking for a screen shot of the error/message you're getting and the seller's username. If that happens to differ from the user ID you use here, please include it with your screen shot if you'd like to be added.

Thanks for offering to add us to an open ticket. I found the problem about 5 days ago trying to create a new template. There is no screenshot of an error... after clicking save, the page never saves, the Saving spinning circle never stops. Same for editing an existing template.

There are a number of people on the Canadian board having the same problem. There is no error message but when they try to save the template the 'saving template' circle just keeps spinning.

I have resolved the issue by changing to a new category and filling in all required fields such as "Type".
