Listing Revision Changes Not Showing In UK...

Hi All

 

I tried editing the Item Description on a couple of listings. After submitting the changes, I checked the listing but the changes weren't showing. However, going back into the edit screen showed that my changes were saved.

 

I checked the listing on two different browsers on my PC (also tried Incognito), checked on another PC that wasn't logged into eBay and checked using Desktop Mode on my mobile phone over 4G. Regardless of device the changes weren't showing when viewing the item page in desktop mode (although in mobile mode they did show when clicking the link to show the item description).

I contact eBay's live chat help in the Philippines and they said the changes had been posted and they could see them. Apparently another eBay user came on his chat with the same issue while I was talking to him.

I used a VPN to do further testing and could see the updated text from all other countries I tried. Only the UK is showing the old unrevised item description.

I assume eBay has a UK caching fault. Perhaps to do with a broken CDN server (I'm no server expert so just guessing).

 

Anyone else in the UK seeing this issue?

I'm in the US and the same thing is randomly happening to me.

Me too. Everyone needs to report this issue to eBay, so they can fix it ASAP.

I didn't realise that eBay has a community forum for UK users as well as this one. Well I've copied this post onto there as well so hopefully it prompts people into checking out this issue for themselves. When spoke to eBay on the phone after I posted on here and was told that they've identified an issue and are working to fix it within the next 24 hours. If it's not fixed by the end of today (UK time) then I guess I'll need to contact them again.
