List 100 items for 5 cents each...How do I use this?

OK, so I got this promotion to list 100 items for .5 cent each.  I'd like to take advantage of it, but I still have roughly 100 store listings I have not used.  I'd like to use the promo listings and then use the store listings later because I'll never get that many items listed before the offer expires.  Is there any way to use the promo listings or do I have to exhaust my allotted store listings first?  That would seem rather daft of Ebay to not allow me to do that.  I mean it would be costing them if I can't use this promo.

Usually the promo listings count first, before the store.........  but a good habit to get into with any promotions is to list one and find out "how it acts".......... before going whole hog, so to speak.......lol

Right.  I do always test first.  I was just wondering if there was a way to give the new promo priority.  Yet another well thought out idea by Ebay.  Seriously, who is making these decisions?  You couldn't do worse if you tried.

Just wanted to remind you that all promotions are through decisions made by eBay, not by anyone you are addressing here.

As @dhbookds  advised, there's no reason to assume that you'd have to use your regular free insertions first, since that's not how offers usually work. So do a test listing, and see which Offer counter changes.

It would be so easy for me to just tell you, but instead, I fell like you need to learn to do this yourself. 

BTW make sure you review the date (inside your eBay message) of the promotion because this promotion is for auctions and fixed price listings and we do not have fixed priced listing any longer.

Thanks for providing the link.  It does say, "The promotional rate will only apply after you have exhausted your free listings per month."

Yes, we do.  We just don't have any options for the duration of those listings any more.

I received that promo and plan to use it to auction (lol) some books, which as you know are not included in store auction "freebies".

If you have any store listings left for what you are trying to do, you will use your store listings first, then the promo listings will kick in.  For example, I have 221 auction listings left. Listing a book will pull from the promo, because books don't have "free" auction listings. Listing something collectible will pull from the store listings, because collecibles are included in "free" auction listings.

Make sense?

It doesn't state there will be no fixed price listings going forward.  It clearly states that all fixed price listings will be GTC in duration but they are still fixed price listings.

your right.  GTC listing are still listed at a fixed price. 

Now I will let you handle the confusion when other read this and wonder why they can not list a fixed price format any longer like they did before and only have GTC and auctions as options.

I was just trying to simplify the terms being used for listing.   I am sorry for the misuse of the words.
