Re: Limit Increase

eBay will not consider raising your limits until ALL of the following are met:

1). At least 90 days since your first sale

2). At least 25 successful sales

3). At least $250 in sales

Additionally, you must have no negative or neutral feedback and no policy violations during that time.

No, you're really nowhere near having eBay even consider increasing your limits.

As @glorybells already posted, you need to meet all of the following criteria at a minimum:

1). At least 90 days since your first sale

You haven't had a first sale yet.

2). At least 25 successful sales

You haven't even had one successful sale yet.

3). At least $250 in sales

You're sales are at $0.

You've got a loooooong way to go before eBay will consider raising your selling limits. Worry about meeting the above requirements instead of worrying about how to get higher limits.

You're nowhere near having your selling limits increased either.

As @glorybells already posted, you need to meet all of the following criteria at a minimum:

1). At least 90 days since your first sale

You're first sale was September 13. Ninety days from September 13 will be December 12, 2020.

2). At least 25 successful sales

You've had seven sales. Assuming those seven have been successful, you have 18 more successful sales to reach the minimum of 25.

3). At least $250 in sales

You're sales are at $9.41. You have to sell $240.59 more before you reach the minimum of $250.

Re: Limit Increase

You can contact Customer Service to ask for an increase, and do so once every month. Although as the other experienced sellers have advised, you must pass some criteria to be granted an increase. So rather than focus on your listing limit, use this probationary time to learn how to sell on eBay. Part of that is knowing the many rules and policy that govern the site.

I bring this up because I took a look at your jewelry listing and noticed you have broken one of the rules. Sellers are not allowed to mention feedback in their listings. While you may see others doing it, better to follow the policy to avoid getting in trouble with eBay. The policy this act violates is the Feedback Manipulation policy, see link below.

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-policies/feedback-manipulation-policy?id=4231

"Any attempt to manipulate feedback or Detailed Seller Ratings (DSRs) is not allowed. This includes:

  • Offering to buy, sell, trade, or give away feedback
  • Registering multiple accounts or working with others to exchange feedback with the purpose of artificially increasing a feedback score
  • Referencing eBay feedback in a listing title or description..."

If i were you, I would delete the reference to negative and neutral feedback right away. In fact, I would revise most of what you have included in your description, and replace it with actual information about your item. There is no detailed description at all. Things like the color of the gems, the length of the chains, whether or not the earrings are pierced or clip-on style. You have to describe the item carefully and think of what the buyer needs to know since he cannot look at it in person. Right now there is not enough information for a buyer to make a purchase decision.

At one time, sellers used templates and had photographs in the Description field. But that practice has long since been changed because it interferes with Search Engine Optimization (SEO). In order to draw more traffic to your listing, you want it to be picked up by Google, Bing, and the other internet search engines, and get good placement on eBay thru its own search engine. But as it is now, the listing does not lend itself technically to be selected. There is already a place for pictures and seller terms. It is not usually necessary to repeat them in the Description field, so I would leave the info about shipping, but omit the rest. Here is a link to eBay's Help pages about SEO:

https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/listing-and-marketing/boost-traffic-with-seo.html

Speaking of SEO, your title is the most important thing in the listing besides pictures, and what the search engines and eBay users need first. The way your title reads currently will prevent SEO from happening, and hamper shoppers looking for jewelry sets. Drop the plus signs and use spacing between the words. Pick keywords that buyers will use when searching for an item. Words like "All in One" are not something a shopper will normally search for, and I would omit those 3 words. They are taking up valuable space that could be used for more important words and descriptors. Consider changing the title to something along the lines of "Set of 2 Gold Tone Chains w/ Pendants Blue Crystal Pierced Earrings Necklaces."

These are just a few suggestions to help improve your sales. Good luck to you and wish you much success on eBay.

Re: Limit Increase

@peshalidistribution_online

Since you are a new seller here, eBay puts selling limits on your account to help you grow your business in a manageable way and to ensure you can give your buyers great service. You also have to get over the selling limits hump.

As you get more comfortable meeting buyer demand, eBay will increase your limit. eBay evaluates your performance monthly.

It is very hard to get an increase right at the beginning of starting to sell. You just have to be patient and keep selling and delivering. If you had another account previously, you could reference that account and eBay would look at your count; verify it is associated with you and give you a slight increase.

Until you show that you have a track record of delivering on time and customers being satisfied and not a lot of returns filed against you, it will be difficult to get eBay to increase your limits.

Your selling limits will not increase until; it's been more than 90 days since your first successful sale and when you've had more than 25 transactions and $250 in sales.

However, it doesn't hurt to try from time to time and request an increase from time to time.

Here is the link to eBay's selling limits page, where you can request for an increase there.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/selling-limits?id=4107&st=3&pos=1&query=Selling%20limits&...

Good luck and keep selling and getting good feedback and before you know it your limits will be increased.

Hope this helps!

I have wondered how much of a problem the language barrier is causing. Have noticed a significant number of new sellers from Sri Lanka lately on the forums. All their listings are very similar in structure, wording, seller terms, etc. Must be quite a challenge to list here without a strong grasp of English.
