With all due respect, most sellers don't use a reserve. They start the auction at the price they would be willing to accept. Most buyers don't like reserves.

Since buyers don't generally like reserves, that is a valid consideration for you as to whether you want to use one or not.
Some won't bid on a listing with a reserve because they feel the seller is "playing games".

Hi, sorry i just looked at your auctions and see you are selling on eBay Motors, which has different rules than the ebay.com regular site. You can lower the reserve there with less than 12 hours.

@mr.rvs I don't use Reserve Price on Auctions because eBay charges a fee and your starting price should be an amount that if you only get one bid you are happy because it covered cost, profit, expenses, etc. eBay charges that fee everytime you relist whether the item sells or not ...
