Kobolt Tools

WOW I just did a search on Kobalt tools thinking on a lot of items on E Bay I get good deals BUT I looked up Kobolt tools here and people are really GOUGING the prices folks if you are looking for Kobolt tools go to your nearest Lowe's Dealer you will get a MUCH better bargain than you will on EBay and in most circumstances you will bring the item home with you then and there.

I'm not trying to be a jerk but really folks if you are going to sell this stuff atleast check with your local Lowes 1st before you pull a price out of your... pants.

Re: Kobolt Tools

They list expecting one person every so often. They likely have 100,000 listings right now.

Re: Kobolt Tools

Sellers have the right to set whatever asking price they wish for their merchandise.  Frankly, it is not gouging to set those prices high.  However, you are quite correct in advising people check Lowe's when shopping for that brand of tool.

Re: Kobolt Tools

If all listings had to be paid for, I wonder how many of these overpriced listings would still exist?

Re: Kobolt Tools

I realize that they can set their prices but when I see a Lowes item that Lowes sells for 149.00 plus tax and someone is selling the same thing here for 349.00 plus 15.00 S&H that to me is gouging...But I will keep my opinion to myself

Re: Kobolt Tools

Again price gouging is for water, ice, food, medication, gas, etc during a disaster.

What you are describing is capitalism - the American way.

Sellers can charge whatever they want.

But it means nothing if buyers continue to hit the back button.

And if you are like my children or anyone with a smart phone, they have apps which show where an item can be bought and who has it for the lowest price.

No it's not. There is no shortage of the item, by your own admission and people are free to shop at plenty of other sources where they can get the item for less.

That's not gouging. That's self-defeating. It's not gouging if you're not actually going to sell anything because you've priced yourself out of the market.
