Years ago we got in trouble with eBay for this but now I see they do it themselves. Sold a leaded glass piece that they add Tiffany type to and for original signed piece they added type. Things have sure changed.

I searched for an Otterbox for my ipad and had to pick through the results to find the actual Otterbox listings.

Apparently, there is a different ruleset for sellers of Chinese garbage.

Years ago, you could spot shill bidding a mile away ..... now, with the user ID's scrambled and anonymous, it's a lot more difficult, but I still find some shill bidders.

Ebay "claims" that they run a computer program to see if the ISP's are the same or have been linked to both user ID's at some point.... and if that is true, then no one is acting on them.
