As a seller of original 1st issue vinyl, has anyone any idea how the new Kate Bush remastered vinyl is going to affect prices?

In my experience, remasters don't have a big effect on the prices of first pressings.

You may see a few of the more casual fans sell off their originals and buy the remasters, but I find that most collectors - of any artist - are obsessives who want everything (as long as they can afford it).

And you may even find that the remasters will rekindle interest in the artist and push up prices a bit.

My $.02: I don't think it will have any negative effect on existing items (such as original issues), and may even heighten awareness of them. I don't think collectors are going to view a remastered album as a replacement for an original issue, but as a separate product that they may or may not want to add as well.

Great to know, mt toughts entirely.  Just got a little nervous when I picked up The Red Shoes original at an amazing price.

As an aside, I have already pre ordered some remastered.
