(On another account) I sold an item on August 11 (Sunday), shipped it August 12, and USPS tracking showed it was delivered to a parcel locker on August 14. Today, the 15th, I received a notice from eBay that funds were on hold because the buyer opened a refund request for an item not received. I responded to the email by uploading the tracking number (it was prepopulated since it was uploaded when I purchased the label on Pirate Ship). I also followed up with the other option, to contact the buyer in which I informed her it was delivered yesterday to a parcel locker, and to check there.
I'm just curious what happens now? Since tracking shows it was delivered I should be covered by Seller Protection. Will eBay notify me when it has been resolved or do I just check to see if they've removed the hold (funds were already sent, so the money would come out of future sales or my card on file). The buyer never notified me, and I'm surprised she was able to open an item not received case so soon.
Since the label was purchased through Pirate Ship, at some point will I need to upload a screen shot showing the address it was sent to, or since eBay sales are imported into Pirate Ship, will eBay be aware of the address it was shipped to? Also, it was shown as "delivered" in eBay orders.
How long should I expect for this case to be resolved? Does it depend on the buyer's response now?

I "thought" that after the "grace period" the case is automatically closed in your favor....
Hopefully, one of the members with more experience that has went through this procedure can chime in for you.
I am under the impression that "ebay step in" is bad for sellers.....
I would hold on for that confirmation......

To be clear, the Service Metrics is a completely different thing than the stats as sellers we get eval'd on every 20th of each month. Those appear on your Seller Dashboard.

Because the INR was opened, it counted in the Service Metrics, regardless of the outcome.

I think you are actually concerned about getting a Defect on your Seller Dashboard.
With that said, on an INR it is NOT near as big of a gamble for sellers to ask Ebay to step in as it is with an INAD. Ebay's seller protection for INRs is strong. The key for you is the tracking shows delivered. You should be just fine.

Thanks, yes, I meant a defect. I'll go ahead and ask eBay to step in now.

I submitted my request and the case has already been closed with no refund to the buyer, and nothing negative against me. I also blocked the buyer now. I'm grateful for eBay's seller protection in this case. Since eBay removed the negative left for me, I only wish they would also remove the positive I left for her before all this transpired 🙁.

I doubt that'll happen, but if it's any consolation, your Positive for her is as meaningless as all the other ones that she can only receive anyway. 🙄

That is as it should have been. Ebay really does have great protection for sellers in regards to INRs when the seller follows the process correctly.
Congratulations.
Your feedback you left for the buyer is one of many reasons why I don't leave feedback right away for buyers. I don't consider the transaction done when the item is paid for. Not that I would have left an inappropriate feedback for this buyer, I likely would have opt'd not to leave one at all.

Never mind. Already answered.
