Item Not Received

Buyer says item not received. USPS tracking says the item was left at her front door last Friday. She filed a claim item was not received. I provided the tracking number. This morning, I have an eBay message saying they are withholding funds until it's resolved.

I read here than once you provide proof that an item was delivered, eBay took it from there. Is that no longer the case?

@tibluvr  give it a little time to process everything.  DO not let the case time out.  If it says you need to respond by X date come back here the day before and people will direct you to FaceBook for E Bay business.  They are the ones to help you the best.

If you haven't already done it, you need to upload the tracking information into the INR case. You should be good.

Did you provide tracking at time of shipping and did you also add that same tracking to the case ? You have to do BOTH.

@tibluvr  the last time I had an INR that was the process.  As soon as the buyer filed a claim the funds are on hold...IMMEDIATELY.  It may be the message about held funds is a day behind.  what does the CASE say?  not the e bay message about funds

I did that as soon as I received the message from ebay about the item not received.

The case shows she opened a claim, and that I provided a tracking number. I also emailed the buyer to let her know what tracking shows. I provided the tracking number again this morning.

I don't see how sellers can be responsible for INRs when tracking shows they were delivered. Are we supposed to hand deliver items? /s

I had three days to respond, and I responded with the tracking number as soon as I got the email from eBay.

Hold is automatic; takes a few days for that to 'clear up'. You, the seller, will win and funds will be released.

In cases like this I tell them to call the local post office and ask for the GPS location where the item was delivered, and also to ask their mailman if he remembers it.

since you responded the case should say something like "waiting for Buyer to respond" waiting for  E Bay etc when you look at the Case summery page.

I received an email from eBay today, saying the claim was closed in my favor. Buyer will not receive refund, and she can't leave feedback.
