Item Not Received Case Appeal

A Buyer had opened an INR case recently for an item delivered well ahead the due estimated delivery period. I have updated the tracking which shows clearly delivered to the recipient. Signature confirmation not obtained since the item cost is below 750 USD. E Bay had intervened to the above case after the deadline and offered the buyer a full refund despite all my delivery information. Further this has affected my selling performance metrics due to defect marked following e bay intervention. The delivery details say as below.

Delivered, In/At Mailbox. Your item was delivered in or at the mailbox at 9:44 am on August 20, 2021 in FRUITLAND, ID 83619.FRUITLAND, ID

Can anyone advise me as to what steps I should follow next? Can I appeal the case and remove my defect?

Just to clarify a couple of things:

 

This transaction happened in August? When did the buyer file the INR? Was the INR filed with eBay, PayPal or a credit card company?

 

When you received notice of the INR, did you upload the tracking number into the case?

 

When you say, "E Bay had intervened to the above case after the deadline . . . " to what deadline are you referring?

Hi, if you voluntarily refund the buyer before an INR is escalated to eBay and the item is delivered within 30 days of the case being closed, you are eligible for reimbursement from eBay on appeal.

 

If the buyer escalates the case first, or if you refund the buyer without an INR case being opened, you are not eligible for reimbursement from eBay on appeal*.

 

I'm unclear as to why eBay intervened, as the buyer had exceeded the 30 days for the MBG, did you upload tracking to the order when you shipped it?

 

*More details on how eBay is currently handling INR’s, including extensive details and documentation, can be found here. This information is current to the best of my knowledge as of 10/04/21, which is the last time I received reimbursement from eBay for an INR.
