Editor v2 takes a big step forward in providing community users with a modern message editing experience. Read on to learn about all the message editor improvements.
With Editor v2, you can drag and drop images, videos, and file attachments directly to the message editing pane or as attachments to the post.
To reposition, re-size (small, medium, large) and insert a hyperlink for an image, you need only click on the image and choose the appropriate option inline.
Emojis are a powerful medium for expressing one’s thoughts and emotions. An emoji such as “👍” can be used to replace the text - “All the Best!” or “Best of Luck!” or “Well Done!”.
Editor v2 brings you the Unicode standard set of 2500+ emojis divided across 8 categories. Emojis are supported across both Apple and Windows devices.
When you click on a link or use the arrow keys to move the cursor over a link in your post, the inline link pop-up menu displays:
From the inline link pop-up menu, you can click:
We made several improvements to the message editing toolbar to optimize it and make it more consistent:
Toolbars across all discussion styles are now consistent and have the same controls. Moreover, the toolbars include many more options that cater to all messaging scenarios.
We hope you enjoy using these new features!

I can't post them myself or see them on anyone else's posts; however, I can see the space that's created in a sentence where the poster inserted an emoji (or thought they did). Like when I post this smiley face right here 😊 and it shows up in my reply field as I'm typing, but not when I post my reply, as you can see from the big gap between "here" and "and." I think it has to do with the community platform "upgrade."
As goofy as emojis are, they do serve the purpose of at least trying to indicate something is a joke or irony or whatever. Sometimes it's difficult for written comments to convey their intended tone or intention.
P.S. I haven't messed with any settings in ages.

Alan:
I haven't read through this thread, but with the previous discussion boards, when we clicked on MACROS, we could then press a letter (to represent the first word of the macro and we would be taken there).
I tried this with the new boards, and that doesn't work any more. Now I have to SCROLL down my macros to locate the one I want. Thank goodness not every slot is taken. Before additional macros were available, I kept my replies in a TEXT file. Since my computer died, I don't have access to that file.
