Editor v2 takes a big step forward in providing community users with a modern message editing experience. Read on to learn about all the message editor improvements.
With Editor v2, you can drag and drop images, videos, and file attachments directly to the message editing pane or as attachments to the post.
To reposition, re-size (small, medium, large) and insert a hyperlink for an image, you need only click on the image and choose the appropriate option inline.
Emojis are a powerful medium for expressing one’s thoughts and emotions. An emoji such as “👍” can be used to replace the text - “All the Best!” or “Best of Luck!” or “Well Done!”.
Editor v2 brings you the Unicode standard set of 2500+ emojis divided across 8 categories. Emojis are supported across both Apple and Windows devices.
When you click on a link or use the arrow keys to move the cursor over a link in your post, the inline link pop-up menu displays:
From the inline link pop-up menu, you can click:
We made several improvements to the message editing toolbar to optimize it and make it more consistent:
Toolbars across all discussion styles are now consistent and have the same controls. Moreover, the toolbars include many more options that cater to all messaging scenarios.
We hope you enjoy using these new features!

I do not see them when I view the post,
but here they are when I quote.
Well, I see them when I am doing the reply, but then they do not appear for me to view when I post ??????????????????
I get the same thing - I see them when I create the post, but not after clicking 'post'. (Desktop, Win7pro, Firefox)

I can't see most emoticons, including @golfingaddict and @buyselljack2016 and many others upthread. Haven't tried the quote yet. I'm on a PC, Win10, Chrome browser. All up to date.

I don't see them on my computer with Chrome.

Well I don't.

It appears to be a browser and or computer issue. On my windows 10 /edge Microsoft computer, nothing seems to work and I can't see the apple and the smiley.
On my iPhone I can see the emojis but I cannot see the quote (and other buttons)
On my laptop I cannot use the quote button (and please everyone do not send me another screenshot of the quote button, I SEE IT, IT DOES NOT WORK)
It's very common and typical that websites improve their functions and views to use certain browsers or whatever.
(here is where I get the big red bar across the top of the page that will kick me out and log me out.)
first Sorry, unable to complete the action you requested.
Then
Authentication Failed.
And then
I will now copy my post, log in again and paste the info into the box again. SIGH
I just find It ironic that the title of the thread has "enhance posting experience.
alan@ebay what browser does the forum work best in?

Good post ... I am getting those pesky red banner errors messages every time I am on The Community ... sometimes I am just typing a reply and it gives me several different ones ...

Just like other posters said, I don't see them in your post but I do see them if I reply to your post.
I also just posted on another thread and used an emoji but it didn't show. It's broken.

Hmmmm, Khoros must get their programmers from the same service that eBay uses... hehehehe.

Thanks everyone for the continued reports. I've asked Khoros to look into why emojis might not be displaying for some users. I'll let you know what we hear back.

A new issue for me today was the inability to leave a thumbs up unless you try several times.
There was also a new error message when I tagged a thread for one of the guys to pop in. When I had it tagged for Brian, Tyler and Trinton, it absolutely would not let me post the response at all. No matter how many times I tried. But when I dropped it down to just one of the guys it let me post it.

Hi @mam98031,
If you're experiencing new bugs, the best way of letting us know is to report here: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Community-Platform-Feedback/bd-p/CommunityNews
Please create a thread for each issue. That helps to keep things clear.
Thank you.
