Impressions Drop Down Dramatically

Hello all, my impressions have dropped dramatically over the past few days and I don’t know why the sudden change.  I list daily and was selling my items daily.  Can anyone help me understand why this happened and what I need to do to get my impressions back up?  Thank you.

All the growing girls are back in school now?

Impressions Drop Down Dramatically

If you are using Promoted Listings this is a frustrating and common issue.

The first day you launch a new Promoted campaign your impressions raise quite a bit.  By the second day they begin nose diving.  By the third or fourth day impressions have pretty much crashed to the bottom, making the promotion useless.  Regardless of the time frame I choose for the campaign to run I always end it on the third or fourth day and launch a new one.

It appears eBay gives Promoted listings a boost when first launched then degrades them down to make room for other newly launched campaigns.  Too many sellers using the option trying to get eyes on their listings and not enough buyers looking.

If you don't use promoted listings, volume discounts or multi purchase discounts it might be that a huge number of items were just listed in your selling categories oversaturating them.  This is the time of year when the big guys are listing millions of items for the holiday gift buying season.  Buyers want to see what's new so older listings don't receive as many views, and sales slump.

Very interesting, do you have any records of organic traffic impressions VS  a 4-5 Days old Promoted listings campaign impressions?

Thanks.

Thank you for your response.  I do use promoted listings and was unaware that this happens.  I’m going to end the promotion and restart it another day.  I’ve had it running for 2 weeks.
