Sorry for my confusion here. But is eBay now requiring immediate payment for all items?
When we accept an offer and try to send an invoice, we cannot and it seems like we get near instant payment. We never required this.
We are now trying to bulk buy items from another seller and, after putting items in our cart, we cannot request a 'discounted' invoice because instant payment is required. So ebay wants us to pay full price when the seller and I agreed on a bulk price!
Thanks for insight.

The seller should be able to turn that immediate payment requirement off.

i don't think this is an option anymore. eBay is messing with the system.

Okay, it wasn't as dumb a question as I thought. We spoke to the 'good' CS. eBay is now requiring immediate payment with many sales - whether the seller opts into it or not.
Horrible decision. Probably 5 to 10% of our sales are from buyers asking if they can wait a few days to pay. They almost always do.
Plus, as buyers, we are unable to get a revised invoice for putting multiple items in our cart from the same seller. Instead, we have to pay the full amount and trust the seller to refund us the difference we agreed on.
eBay trying to fix the problem of non-payers by creating more problems. Nice.

That's not new. I've had buyers who are required to do IPR, even though I don't require it, for years. I've never been able to figure out who is/isn't required.
There is a currently a test on Offers to require a CC on file & immediate charge, it's been going on for maybe 6 months now. They are really tight lipped about it, as many people want to be in on it & can't. There is a setting you can double check, but it only applies if you're in on the test, which is super confusing b/c they put the option out to everyone, but it doesn't apply to everyone.
I'm on my way out the door, so no time to look for it but hopefully someone will see this, who know where the preference is located. THere have been a number of threads, including some on the Buyer board, so you may be able to find it by searching the boards. Buyers don't like it, so IDK if it will ever go site-wide, but they jumped the gun on creating the setting & making it available to all.

Not years for us. Just a couple weeks a go we were able to send invoices right after accepting offers.
And a couple months ago we were able to buy multiple items and request a new total (we don't often buy in here anymore). Now we're supposed to pay almost twice as much as the seller wants! lol ... and neither we or the other seller can do anything about it other than game the system with a large refund.
Nevermind the 2 hours we've had to spend on this.
