Ignore post option?

Didn't we used to have the option of ignoring a poster on the dropdown menu?  I don't see it on the new drop down menu on any post.  OP or reply.

A friend asked me about it.  She wanted to know if you choose to ignore a poster if every comment that person ever made on the boards is removed from her view plus every future post.

I personally don't want to ignore anyone as I find most posts on the community boards to be very helpful.

Anyone know?

I see a "mute" option.  Is that it?  Kind of like silence and shun the person?

Personally, if I want to ignore any poster here (have only felt that way one time), I find it fairly easy to just not read their post.

There used to be that option but afaik it was taken off a few board updates ago.  I have no idea if they added it again on this update.

I remember using the option on one poster years ago.   I don’t know if it removed previous posts from my view but I didn’t  see any of their new posts.  But of course I would see replies other people made to their posts so I would have a general ide of what they were posting about.

No. There is no way to "block" or "ignore" or not see another member's posts in discussion board threads.

You have to manually ignore them.

Ignore post option?

Thanks everyone!

My friend didn't want to post the question herself for obvious reasons.  She was afraid of retaliation.

@b86fiero

Did you explain to your friend about how to create a brand new posting id? Maybe that would help relieve her anxiety?

What kind of "retaliation" would that question cause?

And you can tell your friend that many of us have more than one eBay ID, like one to sell, one to buy and one to post on the Discussion Boards.
