I received a vero from Aeronautica Militare /GriffeShield for a vintage woolrich jacket that sold at the end of march. It was a authentic jacket purchased from the liquidation auction of a large store. The vero said it didn’t follow our VeRO Unauthorized Item Policy. Unauthorized copies or counterfeits are illegal and not allowed on eBay. Should I contact them? Any tips on how to handle this would be great.

In my experience there isn't much you can do about it. I've tried in the past to battle various Vero violation I received over the years. I spend a lot of time trying to accomplish that and it went no where. But make sure you don't list another one of these items on Ebay unless you do battle the Vero and win. Otherwise you will get yourself into trouble.
Maybe someone else will have more information for you.

...it's worth the fight for your self-defense...what will you lose...basically nothing as you already lost from their side, the Vero, but you need your voice to be heard...
...contact them with the copy of the purchased invoice, tell them that's not a brand-new item, it was a vintage, a second-hand...Vero rules apply most on brand-new products...you make living by selling second-hand items, if they really worry about counterfeits then they should ban all thrift stores, garage sales, flee markets, swapmeets, auctions, storage liquidations...etc...where authentic products are mostly found, not the China markets full of craps...!...and yet, go ahead ban China...which I don't think they really enforce their policies into these sellers...
...it's a game with 50/50 chances...so roll your dice out and good luck...!
(...I won my case once...just only one case...against LeMans Corporation...can not provide any further details...sorry...!)

I would just ignore them. From what I understand is that if a company has a VERO issue they will contact Ebay and have Ebay remove the item. If Ebay removes an item for a VERO claim do not relist. Besides, you already sold the item so water under the bridge.

I got the same message, they said one of my listings wasn't authentic, it was so I contacted eBay, proved the authenticity and the following day received an email telling me It had been restored and they were emailing any watchers to tell them it was removed in error

The item sold?
I know what I would be seriously tempted to tell them.
