I just started selling my used coins a couple weeks ago and I'm not having any luck. I did however, recently become a victim of a gift card scammer. "Feeling very dumb on that one"...but the scammers are the only ones that have responded to my items. Can some one please look at my posts and tell my what is wrong? What I need to change or create? This is me pbr0997_bokuct.

Your listings look fine to me. It'll just take you a long time to get started with so few offerings in that category. Good luck.

I think the listing is very good quality. What is happening is that the 0 feedback will always attract a scammer. They do this because its much easier to pull the wool over the eyes of a someone who is new.
I also did an advanced search on a couple of your item titles and filtered on what they were selling for. Its just my opinion, but it may be worth setting them up with a fixed price (Not an auction) with the ability to accept offers. If you have something really valuable though, for were you are right now, I would set it up as a fixed price with the 'require immediate payment' option. This will scare most scammers away as their goal is to commit to something and then try to make you believe they paid for it.
Remember, there is never a need to go offsite to make a payment. If they start asking to send you email addresses, thats a huge red flag.
Best of luck

Oh hun sorry bout the stupid gift card scammers, yeah they like coins!
Looked at your listings, I know nothing about coins or grading them but it sounds like you do. I like your pictures they are very clear.
Get rid of the auctions, BIN price only.
The penny listing, is it 4? State quanity always.
Only correspond thru ebay, no texting, carrier pigeons or Morris code.
Try to purchase some smalls and build up some FB.
Please make sure when shipping those coins are secure and look professional in packaging. Good luck dear!

Be very careful because coins is a very high scam selling category I used to sell them buy got fed up with scammers. Your photos in your listings are perfect and titles look good. You need more listings up as a new seller before you start to see regular sells. Some sellers have 100 items up and only sell a few to give you an idea. Build your feedback up a little bit by buying a few things on ebay. Keep going but you need some better things listed at least $15+ profit because honestly you only have a couple of better priced listings now. The 99 cent starter auctions if you get one bid only your whole sale is swallowed in fees. So aim for profits where you can. Also note foreign bidders can bid but the postage is not shown for them. This may cause you problems if you don't ship overseas. You need to make sure in your shipping policy select international shipping and hard block all the countries you don't ship to. If you don't someone from China etc can still bid your auctions. Good luck!

Carrier pigeons...lol, I like that.
Thank you for getting back to me. Another member said the same, so I'm going to go with y'all's advise and go fixed price BIN. Thank you so much

As Silver said up-thread ^^^, Zero FB Sellers really are magnets.
Many of the really large booksellers have decent books (buy 2 get 1 free, free shipping) and they leave FB right away. Maybe think about building some FB and also make certain you use what Buyer protections you can.
Please put the gift card scammer on your Blocked Buyers List and also spend a little time in that area to block and tackle with headache buyers that you can. Any q's - come back here, we'll walk you thru it.

Welcome. Be aware of the fees on 99c auctions your not making any money with one bid so maybe lot some of those up and charge more. Your low feedback is the biggest problem as a target for scammers which is why I suggested buying a few things from various sellers just to build the feedback. You could even buy from other coin sellers to see how they mail them to you. Then resell the coins.

That is a great idea duncan! Purchase some coins and see how they ship them!

You're listing questionable errors and coins, or minor errors with little collector interest. Four questionable posts:
1. Coin pictured is not coin in title.

2. Not even sure what this listing is.

3. And these two?

You are either serious about what you do or you aren't. These listings suggest that you aren't.

I used to buy Roman and ancient Greek coins silver and bronze from international ebay sellers. Especially slabbed ancient Roman silver in international ebay auctions. Then resell them on ebay around $50 or more higher using buy it now. This is one way to get stock build up. The only tip is don't buy unidentified coins. At least ones where the coin is identified in the title so you can reuse the info. The sellers you buy from will all have their own shipping method as in the way they pack them. Adopt the method you like best. Make sure all coins are sent tracked. Try to avoid $15 or lower there is no real profits there.

Hi, while i am not versed in coin selling, i do see several things that may be hindering traffic and not promoting sales in your listings.
Omit all punctuation, emojis, and symbols from your titles. Search engines like Google and Bing may not pick up your listing for inclusion on their pages because of it. It can also affect your placement in eBay’s search results. Below is a link to eBay’s Help pages on SEO that you might find helpful.

Double check your spelling and fix typos.
For example, your listing title on one item uses “Muti” instead of “Multi”. Anyone searching for multiple errors on a coin listing might not find yours because it could be omitted from the results.
Refine your keywords. Information like “Buy Now” in your titles will not direct any traffic to your listing. Each non-identifying word wastes space that could instead be drawing eyes to your items. To find more keywords, take a look at the titles of successful coin sellers for ideas.
Descriptions are lacking pertinent information. Your listings have to be complete to convince a buyer to take a chance on a new seller such as yourself. The description field should elaborate on the keywords in the title, and outline the flaws as well. Your titles suggest there are errors in the minting of your coins, for example, but then the descriptions do not specify what they are in detail.
You have made a really solid start here, your photos and Item Specifics are great. Now your listings just need some fine-tuning. Good luck to you and wish you much success!

If that is showing up on my listings there's something wrong. I edited those and all my listings a while ago....and re-edited as well.
How can I see what's showing up on my listings cause that isn't showing on my end....and how did you see those?
