I don't understand completely how it works or what I'm in for, but I just clicked on the Promoted Listings Advanced to see if it jumpstarts sales.
I may regret it. I know it charges per click. Don't have any idea how that pans out in the long run. But, I thought I may as well give it a try while they are offering the first $100 off trial.
Sales have been so slow. So, let's see how this works out. I'll keep you posted.
Anyone else using it and getting good results?

I remember reading the ' pay per click' and it just raised many questions.
Say I visit the same item your selling 5 times today, are you getting charged for 5 clicks or just 1 since I'm a repeat looker?
If not, couldn't AI be racking up clicks on sellers for more fees? What about a previous buyer that wants revenge? Could they stalk a buyer and rack up clicks on their promoted items?

Those are all excellent questions and none have then have ever been answered but eBay as far as I have seen. Too many possibilities of abuse and no transparency. Even if they said it's only one click per io address or something like that.... There is no proof that they would even abuse by that. Not too mention all the glitches. Too much risk and no reward.
If sellers could be confident in what they were getting and how.... People would be more willing to sell here. Too many hidden gotchas in promoted listings.... It's just not above the boards as they say.

It has to be an intelligent system that can detect a single user clicking away like a competitor. If it was not this way it would be completely useless.

One of my listings by accident jumped into the promotion listings advanced. (I didn't know why this would have happened. It probably I accidently clicked on "Campaign daily budget $1" which eBay leaving it on the listing's edit page when I edited the listing.). The campaign lasting for about 3 months(Sep 8 - Nov 6). During the time, this listing sold nothing under the promotion listings advanced (As I looked at the timing of All Transactions under Payments.), while the add up "Ad Fee Advanced" for this listing is $19.22.

Something I've often wondered since ebay started this "promoted listings" nonsense, why are we not being paid for clicks to our listings? Many other websites, not specifically selling websites, but some other websites will pay their members for the number of clicks to that users page content.
I'm not mentioning any specific sites here, since I don't know if that is allowed, but I'm sure many of you know some of the sites I am talking about.
