I got scammed

Buyer filed immediate return claim, saying Iphone did not work. Two weeks later, a sim card arrives in my mailbox from Amazon with no communication. The Amazon fulfillment center is in Les Vegas, NV. Buyer is in Newark, DE. Buyer uses tracking # for said sim card to claim he shipped the phone back. Ebay accepted this as proof. I don't really know what to do, this is the first time this has happened to me in years, and the ebay system has changed. Everything seems slanted against the seller now. I looked up the address of the Buyer, and it's a commercial shopping center, so I spoke with a store manager that was friendly and informative. He said it's a Russian gang that has been scamming people online, getting packages like crazy. Buyer has zero feedback, started his account same day my auction ran, completely lied about the return reason. The phone was flawless, I tested thoroughly. I think I will lose both shipping + the phone, but I doubt he will bother giving negative feedback, and I'm not sure I even care about that anymore. I am thinking, should I be selling anything over $20 on ebay... or anything at all?

Yes, you were scammed.  So sorry for your loss. Part of doing business on this site.  Rethink, please.

The top two items scammers look for are mobile phones and electronics. Just do some research here on this board. You seem to sell these so yes you are setting yourself up for repeated losses. You might want to rethink your inventory before proceeding. Best of luck to you....
