I reported a buyer, who is getting his product in the next 1-2 days, what he could see in the tracking information and also he was informed about the delay.
He opened a case on Ebay, got hundreds of Euro back, plus he'll get his expensive product on top of it.
I find it not fair from my side also cause maybe he panicked after the delay, so I want to take it back. Ebay will probably help me, after the product will arrive. Well, let's stay positive.
But the question is, is it possible for me to take back my reporting?
I have reported his profile for misusing the Ebay rules.
To be honest, he didn't really.

You are assuming that eBay actually uses those reports ... it is just as likely that they are a placebo for seller's wrath.
For a long time, eBay has told us that these reports are used to penalize sellers, even though there was not one spec of evidence that it has ever occurred. Then, about 2-3 months ago, they effectively told us that they've been lying ... they said that "now" they will start using these reports to penalize sellers. Really? I still haven't heard of a single seller that has been penalized.
Don't get me wrong, I still report sellers who have bad behavior, but I don't assume that they are any more effective than mailing a wish list to the North Pole in December.

Oh, wow! That sucks.
I am really suspicious about this buyer. He caused financial damage (most likely on purpose due some evidence) and has no buying history.
But there is nothing to do about it right now, unfortunately.
Thank you for the reply. Maybe I should avoid selling expensive stuff here.

Have you checked with the postal service in whichever country is delivering it, to see if there is any way for you to have the package intercepted and returned? If there is visible tracking on it, that would indicate that there may be a way to flag it for intercepting the next time someone scans it.

You sent a package with tracking.
It did not arrive within the window eBay gave the buyer.
The buyer panicked and opened a Dispute.
Did you put the tracking number in the Dispute?
Usually this gives the seller a few more days respite.
If you did not, you automatically lost the Dispute.
The item did not arrive before deadline.
The buyer was refunded.
The tracking shows the item is still on its way.
My suggestion is, since it is likely/possible the buyer just panicked when he did not receive his expensive purchase, that when tracking shows delivery, that you send the buyer a new invoice, through Paypal, for the original amount.
If he really is honest he will pay.

I wouldn't worry about the report.
EBay probably does keep them, but it takes several reports from several different members for them to pay attention.
If this is a pattern with him, you added to eBay's evidence. If this is a panicked one-off, he will never know about it.
I see you are in Germany.
Laws differ from nation to nation, and you may be better to ask this question on the dotDE Boards, to see where you stand legally and also with eBay.de
