I listed an item as Buy It Now, but there was no IPR option available. How do I add it? I saw something saying the payment method needs to be PayPal, but the payment method for the listing is "managed by eBay" and isn't changeable. Thanks for the help.

I have a few buy it nows set up and do not know squat about the IP.
I can write plenty of listings and when sellers have a hard time with a listing it can be because maybe they need to use a different form.
sometimes certain options are just hidden or not displayed well
if you have a listing you know has the requirement then you can go into "revise" and take a look at it and figure out where the option is and then look for that same place when you make a new listing
maybe switch from the short listing form to long version or buisness version

All Buy It Now listings are Immediate Payment Required. Managed Payments or Paypal doesn't matter.
It ain't sold until it's paid. 😁

As you set up your listing, tick the box 'Require immediate payment with buy it now' under 'Payment Options'. Good luck.

Thank you, this helped me figure it out. Apparently the default listing form is the short version, which does not show IPR as an option. Once I clicked on the "Switch to business tool" at the top of the screen, the more detailed listing form appeared that did include the IPR option.

That's what I thought, but I currently have an unpaid sold item that was listed as Buy It Now using the quick listing form. I'm going to relist it with the IPR option checked now that I found the more detailed listing form that shows IPR as an option.

Same boat as you. Used the quick form. Now having to wait 4 days to cancel is ridiculous. I will try relisting.

Not entirely accurate regarding Buy It Now requiring immediate payment. Just had a buyer agree to purchase a BIN item, but never paid. I had to wait ~5 days to cancel the order due to buyer non payment. And....finding a "require immediate payment" button on the "new" sell-an-item page is impossible. It only seems to exist in the "old" sell-an-item page.

If “agree to purchase” means there was an offer involved, IPR is not enforced with offers, even if you select the option.

There is no "switch to business tool" at the top of my screen. I have the same question you had, but don't see anything at the top of the screen.

You’re posting on a thread from 2021 and the listing form has changed since then. Assuming you are using the newest from, scroll down and to the right of the section called ‘Preferences’’ click on the pencil icon. Then click on the arrow next to ‘payments managed by eBay’ and check off the immediate payment required box.
