Your banking information will never be shown to your buyer.
Your buyer pays through eBay check out the payment processor collects the payment you’ll see it as payments “processing” after it processes or “clears” it will be shown in “ Available funds”.
If you are a new seller your funds will be on hold for up to 30 days.
When the hold is lifted your funds will be Transferred to the bank account you have on file with eBay.

thanks! the seller is stating that he hasnt received any "how to pay" info from ebay. i JUST added the payment form info after the item has sold. does ebay still automatically send the payment info to the buyer?

eBay will send the buyer an invoice, not your payment info. Make sure they pay you thru the payment methods that eBay provides. Once they have paid you, your buyer will need to pick up the auto. Make sure you meet them in an area like the police station and bring a friend with you.
As @ebooksdiva stated you won' t see that money for 30 days as all buyers have a money back guarantee. Honestly, I'm not sure if that applies with eBay auto. I know there is not a binding contract and the alleged buyer can walk away from the sale if they choose. As a new seller, I would be cautious. You sold a very expensive item & a lot could go wrong if you don't know what you're doing. I would never sell anything this expensive on any internet platform. Again, too much can go wrong. Be careful.
Good luck and congrats on your sale!

I thought YOU were the seller?
Are you registered for the Managed Payments program?
You need to supply eBay (not the buyer) with your SSN and your checking account number.
The buyer only has to press Buy It Now.
Then they see a page of payment choices- various cards etc
And on the right of the page a button that says "Confirm and Pay".
This if for an eBay member, I'm not sure what a "guest" buyer would see, but I doubt it would be much different.
The buyer may be in a country you don't ship to (like Alaska or Germany).
The buyer may have Strikes for non-payment preventing them from buying.
Or they could be a sandwich or two short of a picnic.
EBay for some reason does not insist that sellers be enrolled in Managed Payments before they list. However, the buyer can still buy, pay and have their purchase shipped.
It's up to the seller to get the Hold on that payment ended if they don't have MP yet. But you have the 21-30 days of the Hold to fix that.

Selling a car or truck is completely different than selling everything else. I've never bought or sold a truck on eBay, but it's not the same as selling everything else. They buyer is not going to transfer $88,000 to your bank account sight unseen. You need to read the instructions provided by eBay on how to handle the sale and transfer of a vehicle.

@reallynicestamps - Ummm... We're talking about an $88,000 Truck. I don't think that's goin' via credit or debit card. Gotta assume there is some sort of bank draft or something along those lines?
Of course if it was ME well, I'd probably want know every detail of how this works before selling an $88,000 Truck but hey... I'm a specialist LOL.

Appreciate the feedback ! I am a new seller. Just looking for the safest way to go. It is a large transaction so i want to ensure the correct details are followed. Any advice is helpful

Since listing and selling a motor vehicle on eBay works differently than just about any other eBay category, have to ask: Did you read that information before listing your truck for sale?

Thank you! Hope you're weekend is nice one as well.
I'm missing camp, off season now and that means my brain cells are suburbanizing and it ain't pretty!
I've this bag of Magic The Gathering Cards and last night keyed a few in here see what their selling at. I never understood anyone playing it to begin with but actually looking them up when I should be at camp? Tragic! Just tragic! I don't even know where they came from, sup' with that!?
Then earlier today I've a copy of "Disney's High School Musical Dance #3 Senior Year" for the Playstation 2 sitting next to me meaning to look it up and I catch myself reading the back cover about it. THIS IS NOT GOOD!
I am suburbanizing! Someone needs to club me with a meat tenderizing hammer.

Silent night, oh I might,
List some things... Pants to tight.
Proud old seller with ancient stuff,
Wish it was sold I have too much!
Oh where is heavenly peace?
Oh where is heavenly peace?
Silent night, oh I might,
Sing a song... But the cats might fight.
Sales do not stream from eBay afar,
Oh I wonder just where they are?
Oh where is heavenly peace?
Oh where is heavenly peace?
Silent night, oh I might,
Just be calm... Like a clam tonight.
Proud old seller with too much stuff,
Why oh why won't the toilet flush?
Oh where is heavenly peace?
Oh where is heavenly peace...

eBay motors works differently than the main eBay site.
Listing on eBay motors is just like running a classified ad in a newspaper. Since you are dealing with titled property that involves a legal process to sell, any vehicle sales made on eBay are non-binding - either buyer or seller can walk away at any time with no repercussions. All eBay does is bring interested buyers and sellers together.
You can require a deposit, usually $500, to be paid online. eBay will send this payment to your linked bank account. This weeds out buyers who are not serious about the purchase, since they cannot get the deposit back. The rest of the sale is conducted in person, preferably for cash in hand. Buyer hands you the cash, you hand them the keys and the title.
If you want a bank transfer (For 88K I would lol) you will need to set that up with your buyer. Do NOT release the car to them until you have the money in your bank account.

You’ve listed and sold an unbelievably expensive item without having a clear understanding of how eBay works.
There’s nothing for the buyer to pay through eBay, since you didn’t require a deposit, which is the only thing ever paid through eBay on vehicle sales.
The payment is handled directly between you and the buyer. Be ABSOLUTELY sure that you have cleared payment (usually cash is safest in a situation like this, but 88K is a bit much to pay cash for).
You’re a new seller selling a VERY expensive item. New sellers with expensive items are magnets for scammers, and since we have seen with your post that you don’t have a clear understanding of how eBay works, I’m concerned about you being scammed.
