How to handle PO blunders

So I'm not entirely sure if they are PO blunders or if there's more to it and USPS is withholding info. I've been getting an increase of these types of issues but I'll just address the two most recent "return to senders" that came in today.

The first one has the usual RTS "insufficient address" sticker on top of the postage label. I checked Google and the address seems perfectly fine. It's a standalone house with no unit numbers. I also messaged the buyer and he says everything should check out with no problems. The tracking shows that the package went all the way to the buyer's exact city (from Calif to Colorado) then got tagged as RTS and shows the delivery scan back to me today. You think I can just bring it back to my local PO and have them throw it back into the mail stream? I don't think I want to try paying for another label for this same thing to happen again. The item inside is rather super low cost that I don't mind risking it going back out for the profit, also the buyer still wants the item.

The second item is weirder. The package returned back to me with the original packaging and postage label totally clean. It has no writing or RTS stickers on it or anything like that. It looks no different than it did when we shipped it out. When we asked the mail carrier why it got returned to us and why is the package totally clean, he just shrugs and says "I dunno." Tracking shows that the package went all the way to the buyer's state (Calif to Penn) and 20 miles away from the buyer's city, but it doesn't show any RTS notice or reason in the tracking page. It just shows the scanned return trip back to me as if it's intended to be shipped to me.

We asked the carrier then and there to put it back into the mail stream and he did. This was on Friday. Today (Monday) the carrier just hands the package back to us. Again we asked why and he shrugs and says "I dunno." I wonder if the carrier even bothered to throw it back into the mail stream or if he just lied and said he did (I miss my old mail carrier who recently retired). I can confirm that the sender/addressee sections have not been accidentally swapped or anything. I don't see any reason why this package can't be shipped correctly. The address is an apt unit with everything checking out. This lack of notification or reason for RTS for this package is super unusual. Anyone get something like this before?

How to handle PO blunders

I've had in sufficient address returns resent by the PO at no cost (took it to the PO and asked to check why and they couldn't find a reason).  Pkgs were always then delivered.  I'd take both to the PO and try to find out......or call the local PO's,  if they will answer the phone.........

I did a few that were cancel and returned to me...as stating no such country...LOL

I usually walk into the  post office and hand them to the experienced clerk to resend again without adding postage.

They never come back.

I also hear if you ship something through the post office in person where it's like you pay to have something that is supposed to be delivered in a certain time span...I guess a day or so...and if it doesn't make it on that day and gets there late...you can request a shipping refund from the post office in person...not something one can do with eBay shipping labels I am sure.

Yes the addresses check out. I tried going to my local PO today at around 3pm and there was a line freaking 40+ people deep!!

Duuuuude, I never go into the PO counter these days, but is having a line that long a normal thing? That probably would’ve taken me at least an hour to get to the front. Safe to say my impatience took over and I just left. I’ll try again tomorrow at an earlier hour.
