Just received my first negative feedback, and it is actually pretty funny. I sold a set of dollhouse furniture to someone who was unhappy that it was dollhouse-sized, and not human-sized.
The table and chairs were described as dollhouse scale in the listing, and photographed with a ruler to show that the table was about 6 inches long.
Will this likely qualify under ebay's negative removal standard? And if so, how do I contact them and ask for removal?
Bonus points: Should I leave feedback for the buyer, and if so, what?
Thank you!

The only way I can see it getting removed by eBay is if you reference that it was an issue disclosed in the listing. I wouldn't promise they'll remove it, but it's probably worth a try. If you want to request removal, try this link: https://www.ebay.com/sellerhelp/feedback
That said, anyone who reads it will just laugh. Your feedback percentage is 99.5% still, so I doubt anyone would hesitate to buy from you still. A simple and professional response will likely help, or you could just leave it alone because it's so obvious it's ridiculous. I wouldn't consider responding until after you ask eBay to remove it, if you're planning to do that.

For $29 and $7 shipping, the buyer thought they were getting a real dining set?

Your TITLE doesn’t say it’s dollhouse furniture; it’s mentioned once in the description. And buyers are terrible about reading titles alone. The feedback doesn’t violate eBay policy, so I really doubt they would consider removing it.
You can only leave the buyer positive feedback, so I wouldn’t think you would want to do that. Your best option would be to write a calm, professional response to the feedback. Something like, “I’m sorry you are unhappy with your purchase. The description did mention that it was dollhouse furniture, but I stand behind my products, so if you would like a refund, please open a return through eBay”. This will reassure your future buyers.

Buyer didn't catch the scale reference. I know what 1:12 means but I've selling toys since the 80's. It doesn't help that eBay took the listing category from the top of the page to oblivion.

I would suggest putting Dollhouse in title in the future.......as said, 1:12 is not a universally known nickname.

Hopefully, anyone that sees that feedback will get a little chuckle out of it or just shake their head. No, a person of average intelligence would not assume they’re getting a full dining set for $40. But, there are no entrance exams to become a buyer on eBay. Just look at some of the questions that are posted to this site – there are some buyers that just can’t grasp some very basic concepts. And those are the ones that are smart enough to actually find these boards. Honestly, so many sellers aren’t better. No entrance exams for sellers, either.

I would:
Ignore the feedback
Do not reply
Block Buyer
Move on
Very doubtful eBay will remove

One would think that the ruler in the photos would be a dead giveaway as to size.
ETA:
likely that out there somewhere there is another buyer that could repeat such.
I would make sure that all titles are as clear as possible for like items.

unless that was a regular dining room set next to a gigantic oversized ruler.

Oh man, I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when the buyer got the shipment. "What the...?" 😂

“What is this, a table for ants?”

Sorry this happened to you OP. Now I'm curious, have you checked all of the feedback that buyer has left other sellers. Curious if there is a pattern of stupidity or if it was a one time thing.

Buyer's record shows she left no feedback on any other purchase -- only on mine.

Thank you for your comments, and the link. I successfully petitioned ebay to remove the negative feedback.
But, lesson learned -- I will be certain to include the word 'dollhouse' in future miniature toy listing titles.
