Just checking in. I'm down 44% over the last 30 days. And down 53% compared to the last year. Are those numbers about the same for everyone else?

Or is everyone just crushing it?

$26,000+ until October 15th hit, two sales since then... Shocking absolutely have no words to describe what a disaster this site is now. I’m a top 10% clothing seller and I have never experienced a total lapse in sales like this ever before.

Horrible, actually. Thanks so much for asking. My last week of September was great since I made all my listings "promoted listings". I have about 50 listings and sold about one item per day, which is great for me for the end of the month. So I up'ed the ante and increased my promoted listings from 1% to 3% and even though seller hub showed more impressions and clicks, my sales stopped occurring. My guess is that ebay wants me to increase my promoted listings to 10-20% or something like that. I'm not sure what to do and I'm considering removing my content from eBay and selling on either or both Poshmark and/or Mercari.

Thanks for starting your post and for sharing your numbers. Good to know that I'm not alone scratching my head.

October was a little bit decent until this week. I've "crushed it" on about 8 days the entire year. The rest of the time it is crumbs or children's portions. eBay is great for the wealthy who can buy valuable items & pay high fees by listing 1000s of items. It is lousy for people who live week to week or even day to day, trying to "earn a living" with $5, 10, 20 sales while their more valuable items sit on here for months & months. Awful. I'm really scared right now. 2 Days 0 sales. Bulk editor keeps being weird when trying to change policies and pricing. I honestly don't know how I'm going to pay my bill this month. I'm selling my personal things on my other account to meet ends meet. Currently building new website and going back to Etsy and Amazon. Friend said they couldn't find my listings at all the other day.

Sorry to hear you are doing poorly too @briawashingto-1 , it's been terrible for me. I've all but given up posting new items here, just cross posting now from other platforms.

I hope sales pick up for you and for everyone.

So may total number of sales are down, but my net profit is up. So I guess I'm doing somewhat ok, but it feels like I'm on a razor's edge.

I hear ya. October has been terrible it's like October 19, 1987 Black Monday like the stock market crash or something. I was doing pretty good this year until October 1st. This new state sales tax is really driving away business and anyone who thinks sales will be up is crazy. Buyers have to pay 8 to 10% more for items and that's just not good for buyers or sellers. Also, the way eBay is running who knows maybe I too may close my store. because I have no sales this month and why have a store with no sales?? eBay really needs to reduce seller fees or give some incentives to buyers. I hate to be the new guy in charge it's really going to be a bumpy ride for eBay. Usually, I get a few sales every two weeks, but I forecast I may get a sale every month or every two months which if that happens will not be very good business. Anyway, we'll see what happens.

It would be nice if the tax would send buyers of common stuff back to retail stores and leave us sell the unique stuff.

A bit better than June, July, August, or September 2019, but still the worst October in 20 years. And my other three accounts are in worst shape than this one.

Certainly not crushing it. Haven't crushed it out here in 3 or 4 years now. Things were looking a bit better than September up until October 15th when they rolled in the latest update. Just spent 5 days updating item specifics for 1,000+ listings. Sellers are buyers too. And they are all out there updating item specifics. Hoping things pick back up in November.

Really. I've been selling them for 2 years on Media Mail. Thanks for the heads up. I actually just ran into the same issue when I shipped a video game. Also had been selling media mail for 2 years and then nope not enough on shipping.

Yeah I've moved onto Poshmark and Mercari. I've sold some items on Posh. Just 1 on Mercari. ebBay has been my main focus for so long it's hard to move on you know. I haven't looked into Etsy and frankly I simply don't want to use Amazon.
