How is October going?

Just checking in. I'm down 44% over the last 30 days.  And down 53% compared to the last year.  Are those numbers about the same for everyone else?  

Or is everyone just crushing it?

Wow! I was wondering how irritating it must be to make seriously money on this platform and to see it just disappear. I know how I'm feeling and I was only trying to make like $1200/month. My top end was $1950 for Jan. Last month I had $300 including shipping.

I had positive and negative experiences with promoted. It seems to have stopped being as effective sometime this summer. I also am splitting between poshmark and mercari. I'm a poshmark ambassador but I don't sell clothes so I'm not really making any money.

Yeah my goal this whole time has been about $30/day. Hit it in Jan. Not much sense then. Now I can't even count on $5 per day.

My sales are almost 30% decreased in this month. Don't know what is the reason of it.

Exactly.  When the cable company has an outage they provide credits for those outages but when eBay has an outage or glitches on their website it affects sales and we receive no credits or help from eBay.  If I pay a store subscription monthly fee and parts of the site do not work or have errors, why won't I get some small compensation for my losses?   We always hear "time is money".

@briawashingto-1   The short answer is October sales are down.  The detailed answer goes something like this:

1. This is the 5th October for sales and heading in to the last weekend of the month -  it ranks No 5

2. Based on the average Oct Monthly sales prior to this year Oct 2019 is DOWN 52%

3. Oct 2019 is down from last year (the BEST Oct on record) a whopping 74%

We sell classic car parts and October has been our worst month in the 14 years we have been selling on Ebay. We usually have 2-3 sales a day and at least that many questions from buyers. We have not sold anything in over a week and no questions from buyers. Not sure what is going on but I am sure the sales tax thing has a lot to do with it.

Sorry to hear!  I wish to try for a $60 US average.  I'm probably at $20-25.  I didn't expect it to be so difficult to avg. that amount.  I can sell $150-200 over 2 days then I hit 2-3 with 0.  Knocks the avg. way down.  NO DOUBT eBay's routine is to spread the sales around.  Good luck.     🙂

Yes it’s the other markers I find intriguing. I have 1200 items listed sure they are garbage and overpriced that said no increase in watchers or questions. When I had the lower store (250/500)whichever it is I use to carry at least 50 watchers. Now I carry about 20. It’s as if items don’t even appear. Their should definitely be questions. Good catch!!
