How do you list Pre Sale Items

We have just decided to get into doing "Pre Selling on Items" as our distributor talked us through it on their end and we have seen other sellers on Ebay doing it. Does anyone have any input? Do you have to call Ebay to be able to do it? Thank you.

With today's supply chain issues, pre-selling may be undesirable.

This didn’t help at all, what exactly to do, and what settings to alter to do a pre order “ pre sale” 

My problem is handling time says I have to have the item shipped out from the options i see are same day , 1,2,3 days that is the only thing I see but i see others having the date of the pre order saying it will ship the month it is coming out how without giving me the eBay policy link can someone walk me through putting up a presale via dm knowledge , link to a YouTube vod or a guide online somewhere that can tell me the steps to take when I’m physically listing the item not the policy cause I know the policy

This is an old thread from 2022.  My guess is the person who started it isn't going to reply.  Should you have any questions or concerns it always advisable to open your own thread to get the help and advice you need.

If you know the policy, then why are you even asking?  eBay does not allow pre sales more than 40 days before the release.    Sellers who offer items that will be released later than 40 days are violating the eBay policy.
