You can't stop them easily. Have to go to each listing & manually end it before it's time is up. If you miss that time, eBay will roll it over for you. Isn't that nice!? Pretty much everyone who never chose the GTC before they made this the law is angry about it. Sorry they did this to everyone. grumble...

You have to cancel the ones you do not want to roll over.
List most items within a certain time frame. Before that time ends, go to Actives.
Check the boxes on the left that you want to end.
Go to Actions above and select end. Wait a few moments and they will end and show up in your Unlisted file.
You need to start the process about an hour before they end because eBay starts rolling them over a little early sometimes.
I have been testing some listings that had views/watchers to see if letting them renew helped. Picked up one or two more watchers but NO sales.

Yeah, I've spent many hours ending listings to stay in control of them. It's the auctions I'm having a problem with. They think just because they perceive you as a noobi they can control our direction but all's that shows is that they don't care how they get their nickel. They also change my listings mid stream to "best offer".

Thanks for your input.
I do not sell high value items here for obvious reasons.
Sometimes I want to give items a rest, revamp, repicture, etc.
Few of my sales come thru google or other search engines.
Not sure how they could punish me more - 1 sale in the last 10 days 😞
But I do think in time, they will eliminate the possibility of cancelling listings, ie. charge fees to cancel.
Thanks again for your input.

There is a box to uncheck if you do not want a listing to renew.
I did some auctions that had a box that I could check to relist up to 8 times "free".
I was not able to end any of those listings where I used the relist option. The only way I was able to end it is to go in to the listing, revise it by removing the check mark from the relist box, and let the listing end.
This was all done with "my permission". Everything eBay does is with our permission. By virtue of the "user agreement" we have agreed to whatever they choose to do.

Go to The Classic Overview & you can end your listings very quickly & easily,50 or more at a time. I end my GTC listings 24 hrs before they end, possibly cost me sales as i often have watchers who may waiting till the last second to buy,but that beats hundreds being auto relisted and .35 cents a pop.

They have done it to me also.
Automatically relist this item up to 7 times if it doesn't sell. No insertion or optional listing upgrade fees for each relist.
Seems the box checks itself sometimes. I try and remember to check it before the auction is over to make sure it's not checked.

Where is the box located to uncheck for automatic relists? Please and Thank you

At the bottom in Selling details when you go in to edit the listing.
